The representative (Hispanic male, bald) was rude and offensive. I struggled to keep my composure and spoke with the manager on duty although he seemed uninterested in what I had to say.

So I was forced to have it installed in another area. Was not happy about that. Then they wired it all wrong and now it only works when my garage light is on. Your electricians lied as did your sales rep. Won’t shop there again.

Posted .Hi VirginaClark. I know it can be frustrating when things don't work as expected, and I'm sorry if there was any misinformation or confusion regarding the installation requirements. The Floodlight Cam Wired Plus requires a junction box for the installation since it is hardwired. It sounds like the wiring your Floodlight Cam is connected to might be connected to a power switch in your garage. This would explain why when you turn the garage light on, the Floodlight Cam works. I'd recommend consulting a qualified electrician to ensure the wiring internally is done correctly. It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus can be mounted on an eave or overhang by rotating the lights away from the camera.
