||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My brother purchased his Ring floodlight for the front and backyard views of his home and he raved about it so I finally gave in. Started with the one in the front area, replacing the light I had recently put in place and I am loving having it now since it gives me such a great view of whoever comes to the front door. I wound up getting secondary one for the backyard too and now I feel so much safer, I pay the annual Ring plan which is just $100 and it's super easy to watch the views on my cellphone or computer, if I need to.

Okay video quality- not great, struggles in sunlight ( previous gen model was better). Subscription is required for viewing previous recordings (2 months) which I am okay with but wish it supported a sd card for local storage to reduce reliance on internet connection for times when there is internet outage from ISP or when Ring has AWS/cloud issues (they have had a few).

I was impressed enough with the first that i purchased a 2nd for the other side of my home. The price was reasonable, the quality of viewing is great, installation was easy

It was well packaged and installation and setup were easy. But, like all of the Ring devices i have bought, it is expensive when compared to the competition…do i get what i paid for? Probably. It does irritate me that I have to pay a monthly fee for them to save videos. I may shop around…

Download the ring app and answer a series of questions. The unit itself is built very well and has allot of features. The video is crystal clear and you can do fine adjustments to the features via the app.

I also love that it is also a motion activated flood light.

We have a large yard and needed coverage in the front and backyard. Love the fact that you can adjust motion detection and set specific days and times to receive alerts. Easily to control all cameras and doorbells from one mobile app download.
