It sounds like you have some concerns regarding the performance of your Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus. The Ring Floodlight Cam Plus Wired is an outdoor floodlight security camera with 1080p HD video. Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus has ultra-bright, motion-activated LED floodlights, customizable motion zones, live view, color night vision, a 105db siren, and two-way talk. If it is not performing as expected, it may need to be reset. Follow these steps to reset your device from the Ring app:

Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the device you want to reboot.
Make sure it's connected to wifi.
Tap the Device Health tile.
Scroll down to Reboot This Device and confirm your selection.
Give your Ring device a few minutes to start up.

To reboot your Ring device in the Ring app, it must be connected to wifi. Visit our support center for more information.

We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the video from your Ring Floodlight Cam Plus Wired is not as clear as you would like. Many times, video quality concerns are due to low wifi speeds or signal strength. We recommend doing a speed test to see if this could be causing your poor video quality.

Turn off your mobile phone’s cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device.
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select your device.
Tap Device Health.
Under Tools, tap Test Your Wifi.
Tap Start to run a test that will measure your upload and download speeds.
Both upload and download speeds should be at least 1 Mbps or greater, but 2 Mbps or above is ideal.
Check the numbers on your wifi speed test. If either your upload or download speed is below 1 Mbps, then you might consider replacing your router (especially if it's older than five years). Contact your internet service provider to learn more about getting newer equipment and faster speeds.

The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus was designed to activate based on your specific needs. We can definitely assist you with this today to ensure your Ring device is performing optimally, and the proper settings are chosen within the Ring app.

It sounds like your device is not operating as intended in regards to the lights activating. We recommend that you customize your Floodlight Cam's zone coverage, motion settings and light settings in the Ring app.

To access controls for your Floodlight Cam:

Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Floodlight Cam that you want to adjust.
Tap the Device Schedule tile.
Tap Light Schedules.

Follow the prompts in the Ring app to customize your light schedules.

We also recommend adjusting your Motion Sensitivity and Motion Zones to suit your needs. Using your Motion Control settings, you can adjust the range and distance at which motion will turn your floodlights on. Your floodlights use passive infrared detectors (PIR) to detect motion in three 90 degree arcs around the device. You can turn these on or off independently from each other.
