I got the cameras to test them out and the motion sensor is always off. If you stand right in front of it, the camera doesn't detect you, but headlights in the middle of the night are always detectable. I had to return them.

I enjoyed this as my first purchase but bigger and better Ring video products have been released. The video is 720 and the connection is slow. If you can afford the latest model id opt to make that purchase instead.

I would get a notification whenever there is someone around my home. I bought the could storage for $30 per device so that ring would send me a video when there is a move in front of the door.

After a few hours of playing with it, i noticed the battery life is poor, it was dying pretty fast, wifi connection was drop after battery got to 57-63%, camera setting at night was poor quality, when people walk by, it catches them at the end, tried contacting customer service for a refund, they didnt even address the question, DO NOT BUY 1st generations, these are not as they seem.

There isn't any way to adjust the exposure so if the lighting isn't perfect neither is the picture. Also notifications can be delayed.
