Great value, great security features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After I found a trespasser walking out of my yard at 1:30 am I decided to step up my home security game. The bundle is a great value even compared to amazon or the ring website. Installation and set up was easy.. Easier then setting up a new home wifi router. Live view feature is great and I receive updates on my iwatch and iPhone and iPad.. this has brought a greater sense of security to my home. For a home owner you couldn't pay for the sense of security and piece on my this product gives you. My only complaint is the video quality is mediocre, and the camera allerts to my phone are delayed about 10-15 seconds, but if you see an intruder while your not home, just call your police department and they can be dispatched within minutes.

Alerted me someone was at my car at 3am!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this Security set about two months ago. Last week someone was at my car at 3am right after my husband left for work. I was able to call police and show them the video. It definitely works! Sometimes I get alerted when it's really windy outside but other than that, I definitely 100% recommend. Super easy to install as well!

Had to get one stick-up camera replaced
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seemed like a good time to add some security cameras to our house, primarily to keep an eye on any packages that would be delivered for Christmas. Pro: Simple to install and get up and running. Con: One of the stick-up cameras worked ok inside when I checked everything out but quit working after a few hours when it was installed outside in the cold. I added a solar panel to it for power. I added a wifi extender between it and my router. It still had the same problem, it would work inside, not outside. I contacted the Ring product support people and after some "check this and verify that" I was sent a replacement. So far, the replacement is working OK. The doorbell camera is supposed to be powered by the doorbell wiring. For unknown reasons, it ran on battery power for a few days last week. I popped it off, recharged the battery and put it back on. It's back to running on the doorbell wiring again. Not sure what happened there. The other stick up camera has worked fine since the beginning. The video quality is adequate. The cameras do not have any "night vision" capability. It is easy to check the cameras using the iPhone or iPad when we are away from home. The motion sensors are very sensitive even when it is too dark for the cameras to pick up anything. The live view is very handy. The cost of using their cloud storage service is $30/year per device ($90/yr for the three cameras in this package). On the whole, I'm satisfied with the product and the service support I received in getting the one stick up camera replaced.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product works Great, very east to install, and user friendly, only issue, is the battery life, Granted don't need to charge it everyday, but due to location and the traffic in front of our house, it is at 20% in 45 Days, far from the 6 months that was estimated. But on the unit that far less traffic, in the same time we still have 60% battery left. I would recommend this product to others.

Good picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not installed them to the outside yet. The drill bit that came in the package would not drill into my brick. So, I have ordered a different bit in the same size. Could not locate one of the same size anywhere locally. It's an odd size for masonry bits I've been told. I have had the cameras setup around the house and garage. The doorbell has proven to have a much better battery. The 2 cameras' battery life seems to be not as good. I emailed support and they gave me something to try. So hopefully that will improve the life between charges. I was estimating that the cameras would need to be charged after only about 4 weeks with very few activations. I really like the option to use live view. It works seemlessly. The motion activation seems to work most of the time. However there have been a few times that I have walked within 2 feet of the camera and it did not recognize motion. There have also been some instances of motion activation when there was absolutely nothing that triggered it. All said, I am overall happy with the performance.

Works but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed the ring doorbell but have not installed the stick up cameras yet. So my review will be based on my experience with the doorbell only. The doorbell was very easy to hard wire into my current system and took only about 30 to 40 min to get up and running. I have between a 15 and 30 second delay from the time motion is detected until I get an alert on my phone. I am told this is based off wifi speed. My wifi seems to be fast and the unit gets good signal. When someone rings the doorbell it takes about 10 to 12 seconds to get the alert on my phone. The video and sound quality is good. I contacted customer service regarding live view and they set it up. Very friendly customer service. I am very satisfied with the system and honestly would give it 5 stars if the delay was a little less. I don't know the delay is caused by the ring system though. I would recommend this product to people. The video service to have the videos saved is 30 dollars a year per unit. Not bad. You do not need the paid service to use the system. You just can not review saved videos without it.

Great product and great support from Ring
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this product after having a burglar break in assuming no one was home when he knocked twice & no one answered. I don't usually answer after dark and now with Ring I don't have to. I can see who is there and have a conversation without ever opening the door and I don't even need to be home! The doorbell camera works well. It does take some testing/time to get camera coverage and distance perfect for your area but adjustments are super easy on the Ring app. The stick-up cameras work well but you may need to move your wifi tower to an optimal spot in your home to reach all 3 cameras with a good signal or purchase a solar panel from Ring or a wifi extender for one or more cameras (only one of my cameras had a spotty wifi signal). Cameras are easy enough to install if you are even minimally handy. Ring Support staff answered all my questions before and after purchase and were very helpful with set up and also with equipment issues. Great customer service. I'd actually give this Ring kit a 4 1/2 out of 5.

Great Setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is really reasonably priced bundle. If you are going to implement this in your home, make sure you have great WiFi coverage, as slow connection speeds will ruin the experience and usefulness of these devices. When fully connected to reliable wifi, you can keep an eye on your home from anywhere - and provide peace of mind while you are away.

Q: QuestionI am interested in the home security kit. The specifications indicate that the cameras are hard wired. What type of wiring is it? Does it plug into a regular outlet? I have outlets at the top of my house for Christmas lights.
Asked by TXCPA.
- A:Answer Not hard wired, they have batteries or you can buy the solar panels to keep them charged

Q: QuestionWill the door bell record when people approaches the door or it only record when people rings the bell? Does each of camera need an USB? And USB need to hook up onto a computer? Thanks
Asked by DoorBell.
- A:Answer It will record based on motion settings and send notifications to your phone. You don't ever hook it up to a computer. The doorbell would connected to existing doorbell wires to charge, the other cameras are battery powered, but you can use solar panels to keep them charged.

Q: QuestionMust I have access to and use the iCloud in order to receive alerts, or can I tell my wifi system to contact me on its own? Does the system require any monthly or annual fees or charges to access the devices with my computer or smartphone?
Asked by lawyerbutt.
- A:Answer No subscription needed to view live video, receive motion or doorbell alerts, or answer doorbells. Subscription is only for you to view recorded video history when devices detect motion.

Q: QuestionCan two phones can have acces to the ring videos , for example me and my husband can see if somebody comes around ?
Asked by Dani.
- A:Answer Absolutely. One person will be the primary account holder and administrator of the account, using their email address as their login. Multiple users can then be invited to share access to view footage, answer the front door, answer motion alerts and see live views from their own phones using their own personal sign on. We have a total of three people in my household that access our system set up. Works great!

Q: QuestionWhat is the range for the cameras to reach. I have a metal house with internet in it, but want to monitor my gate 100" away. I also would like one in my barn about 150" away. Will these cameras work for this application.
Asked by Bdbill.
- A:Answer You will need an extender. They range is low I would say 25 maybe 30 ft if your router lines up properly

Q: QuestionMy doorbell is in the full sun and I live in the desert with high temperatures in the summer. Will this doorbell withstand this type of heat. It can get to 118 degrees. It would also be in the rain...if it rains. Will this be ok?
Asked by Weather.
- A:Answer Directly from the Ring FAQ website: "CAN RING DOORBELL WITHSTAND THE ELEMENTS: EXTREME HEAT, COLD, RAIN AND SNOW? Yes, Ring Doorbell will work in freezing temperatures and is resistant to rain water, however we do not recommend that you submerge your Ring Doorbell in water. Operating temperatures for Ring Doorbell are -5 - 120°F (-20 – 50°C)."
