    I have perviously installed the ring pro doorbell and I am very happy with it. These cameras... not to sure. It takes forever to connect to the live view, the motion seasons fail constantly. I'll probably return them. So disappointed. I really wanted these to work like my doorbell.

      The motion detector does require a bit of maneuvering to find the right spot.     I have installed 1 door bell, 1 chime, 2 stick up camera, and 1 solar panel in use for stick up camera. Pros: Easy setup, Easy to use App, Good Quality picture, LIVE view for stick up cam has been added recently, Door bell Camera 180 degree view, Night vision for door bell is excellent, Motion sensor works great. Chime inside the house sounds in real time but App takes about 5 second to respond with picture (App lags due to internet provider connection speed). Solar panel works great, installed when stick up cam had 65% charge left. It took about 3 hrs to charge the unit back to 100%. I have ordered second solar panel for backyard camera. Cons: Motion sensor is too sensitive, Camera wakes up to tree brunch movement or passing cars (even though it says there is algorithm, that learns movement over time). Stick up camera shows 80 degree field view. 180 deg view would better since motion sensor range capable of sensing 180 degree in settings. Stick up camera need stronger infrared light. If you have light at the location of camera you could recognize the face. Other wise hard to see without adequate light. Overall positive experience and definitely recommend. I would like to see live view for Front door bell (older model). I believe with the new model, you can see live view.

    The concept is great, but living in a rural area, I found that if the power goes out or the network goes down, you have to manually dismantle the cover of the doorbell and reconnect it to the network. I consider it a software flaw that the doorbell does not automatically reconnect itself to the network after a power or network outage. Also when I emailed tech support, it took several hours to get a response.

    Thought thus camera ring would be exactly what I was looking for but it only detects motion intermittently and that's not acceptable, app provides minimal troubleshooting and I desire a refund

    Doorbell has a terrible sensor, wont go off if someone is walking up to the door, but will be triggered by a truck driving by in the road or if you walk right past the sensor into the house. Have to pay yearly for cloud storage PER device which is asinine. Extra cameras will disconnect if they haven't seen motion in a while, causing you to have to reconnect the cameras. UI is awful and incredibly slow to load up, if you don't have cloud storage for a device and the motion goes off, by the time the app loads up you wont be able to view the live footage because it's over. All in all I would recommend any other surveillance system besides a ring system.

      I am sorry to hear that your expectations have not been met with your Ring device.
      The way the motion detection on the Ring works is by heat detection. Setting your range to low makes your Ring look for a very large heat signature, setting your range to high makes your Ring look for small heat signature before it will notify you. If after adjusting your motion settings this way and your are still having issues with motion detection please reach me directly at [email protected] so that I can personally assist you.     It a great product idea and nicely packaged but my house is old and doesnt have the wiring for a doorbell. So I am not able to use it, I did not see this disclosed on the package or informed at the store

    Video recordings lag too much to be worth anything

    I ended up returning this system after 30 days because the lag between the time the someone was at my front door or garage was too much time when the recording actually starts. The UPS guy had already begun walking away and my daughter had entered the garage when the video showed the door already half open. Not useful for security purposes at all.
