Affordable and Excellent

Battery tends to drain easily so would recommend buy another battery and install. App is great as it notifies you and allows you to see a live view of where the camera has been installed.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned Ring cameras (12+) for the last 10 years since the original Stick Up cam, and have owned all varieties of camera. I have just moved house and was getting ready to outfit the new house with cameras. I had read reviews that the quality of the latest Ring cameras had declined, but decided to start with this before the more expensive Ring’s. I will say this felt less substantial than prior versions. The camera has been installed for 2 months and 4 days ago decided to stop working in an unusual manner. It was powered, still had connection to WiFi but would not live view, and became completely unresponsive. I tried to reset it and its reset behavior is not normal. I found that it keeps somehow putting itself in a setup mode (silently - no voice talking). The camera has somehow effectively bricked itself. I called Ring and was messed around by their Tier 1 reps that are basically note takers. I was told that I had to wait up to 48 hrs for someone to review the data and get back to me. I asked to be transferred and was told that the answer would be the same. I insisted and was left on a silent hold for 30 minutes until I hung up. Clearly Rings service (despite being a paying subscriber) has gone down significantly just as the products. I did some digging and found out several other people have the same/similar issue with this unit.

If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the doorbell to your network. To reconnect a Ring Spotlight Cam Plus to your wifi network: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (≡). Tap "Devices" and select the doorbell or camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi. Tap the "Device Health" tile. Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app. Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

Great Surveillance

I can't believe I waited so long to purchase them and have them installed. I especially love the fact I can see who is at my front door before even walking to answer the door. I can choose to "act" like I'm not home if it is a stranger. I can hear the bell easier as well. The outside cameras give feelings of more protection.

System is fabulous completely makes one feel safe at home or away . Visual audio is detailed leaving no doubt safety is present continuously.
