I will say these cameras were easy to install and set up on my phone. While I haven’t fully figured out the app and camera capabilities, I think I have the basics. But here is the downfall….These cameras are absolutely useless without the membership. There is no SD card and without the subscription you can only view the camera in live mode. And you don’t receive notifications of what is happening in front of the camera. So yeah, be ready to fork out at least $100 a year for a subscription so these already expensive cameras will work.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We are happy to hear that you were able to easily set up and install the device. While subscribed to one of our Ring Protect Plans, you will have access to videos of every motion and live view event. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone and have access to the live view feature.

Very easy to install and the battery lasts a very long time. I also bought a second battery because it does hold two. The picture quality is great.
