It’s a very good quality camera, for me I believe, the resolution, is not different from the Ring stick up camera, both have the same resolution. I recommend buying the Ring 4 W solar panels with.

Excellent camera. The only issue I have is that it only records when you are at least 10 feet from the sensor.

Color night vision is a great upgrade from earlier version. However the charging port is not of USBC type. Ordered an adapter to be able to use the older barrel type solar panel

The Ring is all that we expected and truly gets the job done.

Had for a little over a year. Now it stopped working. The inside was wet, and in my rechargeable batteries. Why! It’s the 5th product I have purchase, I was amazing u til this happened.

We bought the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus surveillance camera for the explicit purpose of watching our dogs side yard area. One of our rescue dogs is struggling with using a dog door and although she could go out with no issues, she struggled with going back in. Having a camera to keep an eye on her was important to us, as she would get distressed if she felt trapped outside, even though she wasn't. With the help of the camera, we were able to train her successfully. The camera still comes in useful to keep an eye on them, and as general surveillance should any people or critters find their way into our yard. The spotlight works great and illuminates the area at night, improving visibility as well as acting as a deterrant. It has dual battery storage for extended life, especially if the lights come on more frequently. So far I have only inserted a single battery, but I soon plan to add a Ring solar panel to keep the batteries charged. Note that if you do install a second battery, the solar charger will only charge the active battery. The camera will automatically switch to the alternate battery when it's depleted. The video looks really good, considering it's 1080p. It works well in the dark and will automatically switch to best viewing mode depending on whether the floodlight is used. The image will be black and white without the floodlight, but switches to color view with the floodlight on. Mounting as easy and connecting to the Ring smartphone app is super easy. We use this camera in conjunction with a Ring wired 2-light camera as well as a Ring doorbell at our front door, so the Ring app gets used frequently and the app works well. Highly recommended.

This is highly rated for a reason. I tried a different well known brand of camera for the outdoor and it turned out to be a complete waste of money. Don’t be like me. Just get this one. It’s really good, very responsive, can hear the voices very clear, and doesn’t disconnect for no reason. The quality is super good on this one. I highly suggest getting a solar panel for it so you don’t have to keep changing out the batteries. The solar panel doesn’t have to be the same brand as long as it connects. I got a third party brand for the solar panel (that brand starts with a W) and it works perfectly and came in a two pack! Just make sure your ring battery is fully charged first and then the solar panel does a great job in keeping it topped up. Do not try to go in with a half empty battery or something expecting the solar panel to charge it up. It’s not how that works! We went in with a full battery, connected and put up the little solar panel. It’s literally been 3 years at this point. We’ve never had to recharge the battery, it’s always being topped off by the solar panel. Granted I live in a state where it’s mostly sunshine. YMMV if you live in a place with much longer winters and less sun but it’ll still be great. You’ll definitely still have to charge it less than if you didn’t do the solar panel (unless you straight up wire it to your house). This camera is totally worth the investment, especially if you already have a ring doorbell and monitoring service!

The battery life is great. It lasts about 3 weeks but we don't use the light feature. We bought it because there were porch pirates who would regularly steal packages in our neighborhood and it is great at capturing anyone or anything the goes by! I'm very happy with it

I ordered four of these, as well as a solar panel and installation for each. Product is working well. I really want to say that I had a fantastic customer service experience with Gina at the Osceola store; I'd received someone else's order by mistake and also was unclear about what was included with installation. Gina found my order and contacted the installation department to quickly answer my questions. Also, my installer was terrific. Ivan of Master Advanced Technologies installed my cameras. He was very pleasant and informative, taking plenty of time after the installation to ensure all was as I wanted and that I understood all the features and options the software offered. Great experience--I will be looking first to Best Buy for any additional purchases.

This is perfect for no outlets nearby and easy to install and no need for a professional to come out to help install unless mounting high up onto your house

Good camera - Syncs up well with other Ring cameras. Decent battery life, but if you live in a high traffic area you'll need either another battery or one of Ring's solar panels, or both. More detection = More battery drain
