I have a coupe of floodlight cams, and I'm a fan of the company. Thus I was excited about this product as it serves as a good replacement for an older Ring stick-up cam. First I bought the battery version, but it wouldn't work out for me. You have to take out the battery every so often to charge it via a USB charger which wouldn't work. I wanted something that we could install and forget about. I bought the wired one, but I had to exchange the first unit as the process of installing the camera involves twisting the unit into the power source, and that ended up breaking some small and sensitive pins. The new unit I purchased afterwards is working fine for the past month, and it's working per expectations. Just be wary about the above issues I faced.

Bought this for our front porch after we heard there has been break ins in surrounding areas. I am happy with the ease of use and ease of installation. The cord is long which is good. I was confused though thinking this would be hardwired but it isn’t. It’s literally a plug in unit. Picture & sound quality are very good with the ring app.

The wired spotlight cam and wired doorbell was easy to install, and the HD image and color is clear...works great! This is a great way to view who enters the driveway before they come to our door. Monitoring motion while away from home and having recorded videos, gives us peace of mind knowing our home is safe. The yearly cost is affordable In comparison to other alarm systems.

Did a lot of research and decided to go with this system and It gives me solid performance and ease of use. Policy plans yearly are the way to go. Check on your home night and day and get alerts near your neighborhood too! Installation was pretty good also

i’ve had ring cameras and flood cams in my own house in Georgia but last time for the new owners purchased this one as I live in a gated community, and just wanted to have a view of my front driveway, and this product was excellent as it was already had a plug and I just filled it out through the garage door. Quality is excellent.

Great picture day and night. Easy to mount. Wide angle lens picks up everything and motion software works extremely well. Switched to people only mode so it stopped alarming on my cat. Only 2 issues. Doesnt record locally only in cloud for a price. Not always great with my slow internet. And i was expecting a small connector for power so i could run through a hole but it has a non removable full size 120vac plug with a long cord.

Ring cams are simply amazing. Not only are they easy to install and connect to a network, they work. The app is also very easy to navigate and user friendly. The sec someone enters the field it sends me a text, I can immediately view it on my phone. If it’s someone I feel has bad intentions I can hit the alarm siren or talk thru the mic to scare them off. The neighbors app is also informative to the area you set up to monitor. 1mi to 10mi from your location. Had no idea so much was going on from theft of cars to home invasions. This info was shocking. In my opinion this is by far the best setup on the market today and is a must to have to stay one step ahead of the bad guys and protect your family and home.

This is a great camera but has a few issues. The wire is long enough, roughly 16 feet. I wish it was longer so that I can place them in different locations. I had to purchase some additional solar cameras since the wires were not long enough. The camera is better than the solar/battery powered cameras. These cameras have the ability to capture motion and I believe the trigger goes back a few seconds prior to actual motion. The solar ones do not have this function. The bad news is that the wired camera color vision seems to have a yellow tint. I have tried several help sites but nothing seems to help. The solar powered cameras do not have the yellow tint during color night vision. I wish that these cameras were 2k or 4K instead of the 1080P. You can clearly see objects but forget about reading plates. The readable distance is about 20-25 feet. After that you can see the vehicles but cannot read the plates. At night the image is good but not as crisp as a 2k or a 4k camera. Overall a good camera system since they link to all Ring devises.

Wow! The Ring Spotlight Camera (wired) is an amazing product. Installation was a breeze, and it's so easy to use. I'm very impressed with the picture clarity. It's amazing how fast you get notifications when ir detects movement. It is a fantastic and reliable product that is very well made.

I like this camera, the picture quality is very good even ay night. The light is very powerful for its size. Menu is easy to use. Battery lasts a lot even thou I use it with one battery only and it has a slot for two. I gave it four stars because it lacks continues recording. Only records when it detects movement. And even thou is very good at catching movement it only records for a max of 2 mins.

This is a great camera. The spotlight is super bright and provides good lighting. The camera view at night is good as well. The camera captures a vast area. The motion zone is great. Great for monitoring what's going on around your house.

The device is easy and simple to install. We now have a peace of mind when we are out of the house and when we go to bed at night. Video and picture resolution is clear and is able to see a wide range of our house surrounding. I have not regretted buying ring spotlight.

I opted for the wired version and I am happy that I did. With the battery operated ones, even though the software is the same, the features are not. 1. Motion detection. With the wired versions you have complete control over the area of motion detection. With the battery operated ones, only choices are zones. You have no ability to block out the street to not get false detections. I am able to cut the detection line at the driveway and not get false warning. 2. Snapshots. With the snapshot feature, you can set this to take a snapshot every minute and not worry about the battery. Giving you an almost realtime view of the day. 3. I can see movement much sooner than the battery as this one is almost always recording. Maybe just a few seconds sooner, but it does make a difference. All in all, very happy with it. With the cord length was adjustable either by shortening or extending it or hardwiring it without loosing warranty or using extension cords.

Full HD picture, and works GREAT with other Ring products. I just simply mounted mine to my roof overhang, plugged it in, then used the app to sett it up....WAY easy! The monitoring zones are really cool too. I draw a little box around the part of my yard that I want the camera to focus it's detection on, and it only notifies my phone if there is a disturbance in that box. it still records silently any other disturbances, but I get a notification on my phone if someone is close to my stuff. You can speak to people through it too. A must have, especially if you already have a Ring Doorbell.

Works great when it has a strong internet connection. Good video and sound as well. When internet isn’t the strongest video that is recorded freezes and jumps missing things that could be important.

i aint gonna lie i was super sirprized at how great this little product is i have it installed in my backyard and zero complains it picks up everything an dthe light and siren makes it even better

Overall happy with Ring cameras and service. Needed this wired version for location where solar panel was not sufficiently charging battery. This had ample cord length for my application.

I bought 2 of these to cover the sides of my house. I went with the wired versions when I read a review that stated some features were better than the battery cameras. The wired version is a little limited in mounting options requiring brackets for my needs. They were easy to mount but required a little work to get the wires set up cleanly.

Installation is easy and quick. Make sure you unlock your router to accept a new connection if you have it secured. Most time spent routing and securing the 20' electric cord to make for a clean install. Will also take a day or two to refine the motion and light settings. This is my second ring cam and very happy with both spotlight cams. Only downside is that sometimes motion is sensed when landscaping lights turn off - hopefully ring is continuing to update the firmware to take care of minor problems.

Since it plugs into a three prong outlet, it's really easy to install. The image is sharp too.
