A: Yes it can if you cut off the factory three prong cord leaving just a few inches. You should get the ring duel spotlight cam that can mount to any standard outside fixture box. The wires of the spotlight cam are already in the configuration you desire.

A: Without Ring Video Recording (Protect Plan), you will still receive alerts, and you’ll still get live streaming video and two-way audio, so you can see, hear and speak to guests in real-time, as the event is happening. However, if you don’t have Ring Video Recording (Protect Plan) and you miss an alert or a live event, you will not be able to review the video. Q: How bright are the lights? How should I decide if the flood light camera is for me?
A: They are 900 Lumens. They are pretty bright. Covers my entire side yard.
Q: Can the outside wire be cut by an intruder? If so, how can I prevent this?
A: Contact an electrician, Turn your power off, remove your outside porch light 115 vac unit. Have the ring hard wired by electrician to where your porch light previously mounted at your back door. They will not see any wires. I
A: I removed the cord from the camera. It’s not a big deal. You just need very small screwdriver. I used a knife. Then I drilled a half inch hole through the wall and fed it through from my basement. Then reattached it and attached camera to outside wall. But yes, if they notice that you opened it, it probably will void the warranty.
A: It’s not suppose to be, but I did it and it works great! At first the tilt looks strange (like it’s pointed downward too much), but when you view the camera via the app, the picture looks perfect (not too tilted).
Q: Can the camera be powered through a cat6 wire?
A: No, it has to use standard home plug in power.
