In pursuit of our mission to make neighborhoods safer, when applying technologies to our business, we always consider our three pillars of customer security, privacy, and user control. We understand how important it is to have your devices working as intended, as it offers a level of security in your home.
After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Spotlight Camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest-working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
Wait for your internet to be restored.

Ring Outside Camara.

Almost like blind spot at the end or beginning of recording. Definitely an item you can install yourself, if there's power outlets available.

If you find that the recordings from motion events are not long enough, you do have the option to adjust the recording length for videos. The length of time that you choose represents the maximum amount of time your camera or doorbell will record an event. Unable to use

It could not. The technician suggested that I purchase a Ring flood light.

Other times it shows the date before and not what is currently happening. It also doesn't show anything sometimes.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with answering your doorbell from your Ring App. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible. Find a version V1 instead

Version 2 is missing some features that may or may not eventually be added. Older V1 cameras have the ability to set up privacy zone so they won’t record your neighbors window, however these (V2) lack this feature. According to ring support there is currently no timeline for an expected date to fix this. You’ll be better off to find an older V1 that has better support from Ring.

Not really for me

Worst spotlight cam ever

Speaker is terrible, lag time horrible. Network is fine, it is the cam. Also playback is very blurry. By the way $30.00 something bucks a year per device to see what’s going on .

Please know that Ring takes your security and peace of mind very seriously. We are here to be of assistance and find a solution to this dilemma you are experiencing. This device is intended to be a battery-powered HD camera, with two-way talk and spotlights, for security anywhere you need it.
Condensation is a naturally occurring process by which water condenses out of the air and forms small droplets inside the device. This happens primarily due to the cooling effect when your lights turn off or as the light itself cools when the sun goes down. Are you currently a Ring Protect Plus subscription member? Or is your device still under the original one-year warranty? If so, please reach out to our support team as soon as possible so we can discuss a resolution for you.
This issue could also be caused by environmental factors as well. It’s important when selecting a location to remember that Spotlight Cam is designed to be placed at an optimum height of nine feet with the motion detector parallel to the ground. This will put the motion sensor in a perfect position to detect human-sized objects at up to 30 feet away. Garbage

There is a power cord to “plug in” yea I’m sure someone can just unplug it and walk away with it. Or how if I I want to mount this in a area that has not power outlet. RING you need to make this camera that’s solely hard wire. I returned it.

Not infrared activated motion

It doesn't go off for rain, snow or leaves blowing on trees. It only activates motion alerts with heat motion such as people, animals and vehicles. It is very accurate. I love it! I purchased this new spotlight cam to put on my shed outback thinking it was infrared as well but it is not! It triggers motion from pixel disruption.. meaning anything that moves this thing is going off. Light snow, rain, shadows from trees, leaves blowing around. This thing was going off every hour all night long for just some light snow. Very disappointing. After giving it a month I will be returning it. I am bummed out because it does have a great field of view, the led lights work great! Lights up a large area but not worth all the false motion alerts I'm getting to my phone even on the lightest settings. I did call customer support , which they are very pleasant to work with but we could not come up with a fix as its not infrared. I really hope they can bring back the infrared and use it in these new spotlight and floodlight cams giving customers a choice between the two different motion activated sensors. "Pixel or Infrared", to fit everyones unique needs.

To reset the Ring Spotlight Camera Wired, press the setup button for 15-30 seconds, once the white light stops flashing you may proceed with setting up the camera.
