The app is also slow and there's at least 2 minutes lag. I've compared this to ZModo and at least the real time is REAL time. It's really an "okay" product but for the price it has to do more.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It has very poor wifi signal. You're going to have to buy a wifi extender just to get anything decent with this & even then it'll still show as poor signal. Even right next to the wifi router it'll show only medium signal. Less than a year, video quality got really bad. Was able to get a replacement from Ring, but it ended up being worse! They also quickly discontinued this model (most likely because they knew it was bad). You're better off using another security camera competitor or setting up your own camera system. Over the years Ring customer service has gone downhill & I do not recommend them.

I have trigger recording by walking by, and it took so long to initialize the recording is again showing nothing. Night vision is essentially worthless. Can barely see 10 feet of my deck.

After 3 weeks of working with ring support i had to throw in the towel. not once in 3 weeks did the camera pick up a person. it had about 20 plus false reads a day.
