Customers highly value the camera's picture quality and ease of use, with many praising its simple installation. Doorbell Better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doorbell is awesome. Stick Up Cams not so much. I can walk right past some of them an no motion detected. Also lots of false positives regardless of settings. Hard to recommend this product.

Less than desirable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Customer service from Ring is great. First camera, video was so pixelated you couldn't identify a face. Added Chime Pro, worked great until it rained. Camera has water dripping out of it. Not weather proof. Will probably go with ADT camera.

Don't waste your time
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great concept! Perfect for a small apartment. But if you have a house you will deal with wifi locations and will have to charge it once a month. Save your money. Go for hard wire cameras.

Not quite what I had hoped for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality was not very good, not at all what I was expecting. Unless the person was within a few feet of the camera, there was no way you were going to be able to get a detailed description. This item was returned.

Good for about one year
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first few months was great. Then could not connect to any internet again even with the device two foot from the router. Checked internet connection on other devices and had no problem.

Don't recommend
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When purchased this comes with a free month of cloud and then cost 3 dollars per device a month just to save videos. Otherwise it only works live on your device. I had a camera and doorbell. Big problem was on high sensitivity it recorded everything and became a pain to have to erase every 40 second entry. Plus when turning sensitivity down just a little now you only get a persons back side walking away. Very frustrating, if and when they perfect this it would be worth the 6 dollars a month cloud recording fee. But until then I felt a wast of money!

Opportunity lost...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Make sure you have the appropriate internet speed that will make this work. Without it, you won't be able to take it out of the box which is what we discovered.

Terrible product, customer service is worse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I honestly think we have a defective Ring, but customer service at Ring is terrible. Months of back-and-forth and still no picture. I can stream 4k UHD to other devices that are further away, but they say wifi isn't good enough for the Ring. They said brick often interferes... which is bad for a device that is sent with a masonry drill bit. Terrible. Just want my money back.

Missing Parts
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have the doorbell and love it. Bought this to put on the back of the house but it didn't have all the hardware necessary to mount it. Placed several calls with Ring Support, but I'm still waiting on the parts to arrive. That was several weeks ago. I'm sure it will work fine once I can get all the parts together. Got to give it a "1" until I can see it in action.

Not as responsive as I hoped
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought it for a specific area of the house that is kinda narrow. However, the response was not all that great even though i played with the sensitivity setting... In some cases, i walked around for 20 seconds in front of it and it still didn't pick up my presence. So I returned it.

Much better than expected
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been pretty happy with the stick-up camera. I wanted it for my backyard, already having a Ring Doorbell Pro at the front door. It wasn't hard to install, and it fits right in on my Ring app. A lot of other reviews were a bit scary, but I bought the Ring anyhow because I didn't two different camera systems. The big concerns in other reviews were the Live View, battery life, and picture quality. All of these turn out to be fine. Live View may or may not have worked in the past, but it works fine now, even in battery mode. As to the battery mode, I've had the Ring up for about a week-and-a-half and there is still 95% of the battery left. That should give me about 30 weeks, which isn't bad. The picture quality seems fine. The thing to keep in mind is that you will probably be watching things farther away from the camera than you do with the ring, so they won't be as clear as someone at your door ringing the bell. Given that, the picture looks good. So overall I've been happy with the Ring camera. The only reason I gave it four stars is because it does not have the free-form zone feature for motion detection that the Ring Doorbell Pro has.

Terrible inconsistent camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the ring doorbell but the ring stick up cam is terrible. I had a bike stolen from my driveway and it didn’t even capture it. Don’t waste your time get a real camera.

Ups and Downs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to set up. Prompt comes and if you don't hit it immediately to view it then seems to stall and you are waiting to see what's happening on your cam. Daytime video is crisp and clear. Night vision is very blocky but you can see if someones there. Audio works well. It's rechargeable which is good. We've had it a week and the battery is at 80% from a full charge upon installation. You can buy a solar charger.. we're going to go ahead and run an electrical line so we don't have to keep charging it. I should add if your installation area is more than 20' from your wifi.. you may need to also buy a wifi extender which we did. I'd like to add the doorbell but unfortunately our doorbell isn't aiming at whoever is standing at the door so we may just buy another stick up cam. Pricey for a couple of cams and a wifi extender you're talking about roughly $500. It does work though wherever you are with a wifi connection.. I was at the grocery store and was prompted for movement. I think your wifi connection and the strength of your phone plays a good part in how this works for you.

Wifi spotty at best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great idea. Poor execution. The wifi signal outside my house isn't bad outside my garage but Ring still had trouble connecting. Too bad they don't have an Ethernet port in back as an option. Especially the doorbell.
