This plus the optional solar panel and I was able to get the whole thing installed in less than an hour without having to run power to it. Screwed it into the wall. Plugged it in. Set it up. And it’s worked consistently and maintains a 100% charge off the solar panel.

The battery is interchangeable with my Ring doorbell battery. So I have one extra battery always being charged to do a quick swap out when needed

Improved Stick Up Cam RING SECURITY

The picture quality in the daytime and especially, at night, is fantastic! It has a wide field of vision. Definitely recommend this product! Instant notifications to my phone when there is any kind of movement or people in the room when I am not home.

Detection and notification works well. A good idea would be to invest in the charger from ring since just plugging it into a usb port may take 6-7 hours to charge.

I have 6 of these and I love that you can purchase additional batteries so you never have to go without a camera and you just switch them out while always having a backup battery.

Im amazed by how much better it is. The arlos used to miss stuff all the time but these catch everything. I use the solar panels and they charge really slow but just a bit more than the camera uses everyday so it works out fine.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Outdoor Cam are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We can definitely assist you with this today, and we are confident we can find the correct settings for your home’s environment.
It sounds like your device is not detecting motion as expected. The Ring Outdoor Cam offers advanced motion detection with customizable motion zones. Camera Motion Zones can help you detect motion in the areas that matter the most to you and reduce the number of "false" motion alerts (such as cars driving by). By drawing your camera's motion zones to exclude high-traffic areas like public paths and roads, you can increase your Ring device's effectiveness. Follow these tips to optimize your camera's motion zones:
Make your Ring device's view as clear as possible. Motion detection can sometimes trigger "false" alerts because of moving trees, lightning, the rising or setting sun, reflections off a shiny object, headlights, shadows, and more. To reduce false alerts, adjust your motion zones, remove shiny objects, cut back tree branches that create moving shadows, or angle your device to avoid the sun.
Look for high-traffic areas. Note any high-traffic areas, such as busy streets or sidewalks. If you receive too many motion alerts from your Ring device, you can adjust your motion zones to exclude these areas.
Exclude areas you don’t need to monitor. Note the potential paths people take to approach your device. Then redraw your motion zones to exclude areas where you rarely see people, such as behind locked gates, hedges, or walls.
If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner. To prevent excessive activity, under Motion Settings for your device in the Ring app, you can:
Adjust your Motion Sensitivity slider to a lower sensitivity
Redraw your Customizable Motion Zones
Change Motion Frequency to regularly or periodically
You could also adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.
