I use it outdoors and gives a nice picture and video. Wireless range is decent. It's roughly 100 feet from my indoor router. It has disconnected once in the 7 months of use. That was in bad weather. It requires a subscription to store video. I'd give it 5 stars if I could record the video myself.

We understand the importance of having events recorded on your Ring Stick Up Cam. Without a Ring Protect Plan, your Ring products provide certain features such as Live View, Two-Way Talk, and Real-Time Notifications on your smartphone. Ring Protect Plans simply offer additional features for those who want them. Here are some additional features that are included when you subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan.
1. Video History for up to 180 Days. Access recorded videos of every motion and Live View event for up to 180 days.
2. Snapshot Capture. See what's happening in between motion-activated events with recurring photo snapshots taken throughout the day.

Battery life is heavily dependent on motion setting and can range anywhere between 1-3 months of charge based on traffic in your cameras field of view. App works well. Very satisfied with my purchase as it met all my expectations.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Outdoor Cam are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure that your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the concern you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to audio. We are happy to share some tips with you to help you troubleshoot why your Ring device may be experiencing warped sound or no audio. Make sure the external volume is up on your mobile device (on the device where you're viewing your Ring videos or "Live View"). If your phone or tablet has poor service or internet, it could be affecting "Live View" or your video downloads. Try turning Bluetooth off, then open "Live View" or view a recorded Ring video.
Poor wifi can often cause Ring device issues, including capturing audio. We recommend following these steps in the Ring app: Tap the top menu (☰), then Devices. Choose your Ring Outdoor Cam. Tap "Device Health." Under the "Network" section, you'll see your device's "Signal Strength." If your "Signal Strength" (RSSI) is amber or red, your Ring device likely has a poor connection to your location's wifi. Try moving your wifi router closer to your Ring device. Open "Live View" in the Ring app and see if your Ring device's microphone is enabled. Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your Ring Outdoor Cam. Tap the "Live View" button. Check to make sure the microphone icon is enabled. You can also press the green phone icon. If you have a Ring Home subscription, you can view the recording to see what the audio sounds like.
Check your audio privacy settings You may have your audio settings turned off for privacy reasons. Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your Ring Outdoor Cam. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Privacy Settings." Make sure "Audio Streaming" and "Recording" is enabled. Reboot your Ring Outdoor Cam by following these steps: Open the Ring app. Tap the top menu (☰), then "Devices." Choose your Ring Outdoor Cam. Tap the "Device Settings" tile. Tap "Device Health." Scroll down and tap "Reboot This Device." Wait a few minutes for your device to reboot.

I have 3 other ring cameras and have the ring wifi extender ( forgot what you call it) but even with that I have a close to poor signal eventhough that camera is closest to my wifi device. Only one time that I noticed that it didn't pick up a movement. Still would recommend because it's just so easy to put up and monitor.

Here at Ring, we understand how critical it is for your Ring Chime Pro to work as intended. It's a key component to ensure all connected Ring devices have a strong signal, along with providing an internal audio effect through your home. We are here to lend some assistance.
Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Chime Pro extending your wifi signal. When this happens, we recommend moving your Chime Pro. The ideal placement for your Chime Pro is about halfway between your wifi router and the device it’s connected to.
Wifi extenders work best with devices that won’t be moved, and ideally, the maximum distance between the router and the device should be under 30 feet. If the distance is greater than 30 feet, you might need a different solution to a weak wifi signal, like a mesh network instead of a wifi extender. A wifi router creates a single access point that broadcasts a signal. The further the signal has to go, the weaker the signal gets.

The set up process is very simple. The app is easy to use and has a few convenient configurations. The ability to see the camera in real time is amazing. A subscription is needed to review all of your past video history.

We installed this on a tree in our front yard. Set up on the phone was easy with voice prompts. Highly recommend for quick set up. Only thing, you will need to charge it prior to installation.

We set it up in our garage, cracked the door a bit, and set the motion sensitivity to maximum so we would know when he came inside. Then we just closed the garage door behind him whenever we got the motion notification from the camera. It would have been 100 times harder to find and catch him without this piece of equipment. Couldn’t recommend it more, and the camera did its job reliably and flawlessly. Now I’ll just set it up as a regular webcam to watch our front porch!
