However, something to keep in mind is how strong one's Wi-Fi signal is. If the signal is too weak, this camera will not work very well.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the connection issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not operating as intended. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. Identify and troubleshoot what is causing connectivity issues for Ring devices to give you the best possible video and audio experience.
To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.

I have multiple units to supplement my Ring Doorbells, cover all home entry points and external storage structures on my property.

Told me it was very easy to set up. Just needs to mount to the outside wall. Will need to buy a plate and bolts or bracket since these don’t come with them only the sticky mount. Additional purchase for a separate mount. Would be nice to have an option included for an exterior wall.

The battery seems to last a long time beacuase I haven’t had the need to recharge it yet since I bought it 4 months ago.

These are used in conjunction with our security system. They were easy to set up and have not experienced any issues with the cameras. Would definitely buy again.

One other thing that’s annoying about the setup on this is that it offers “privacy zones” instead of “motion zones” since it’s a security cam I assume. I liked the “motion zone” functionality of the Ring doorbell better because the Privacy zone blacks out whatever portion you select in your setup. I can see why that’s handy, but they should really offer both options on these cams. Other than that, it works well and it’s better than not having anything. I bought this because I had a Ring doorbell and wanted another cam on the same app.

It sounds like the device is not operating as expected. If you are experiencing a delay when loading the live view, this could be due to a connection issue with either your mobile device or your Ring device. We recommend checking the signal strength of your device by following these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the Device Health tile.
Scroll to Signal Strength under the Network section.
The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.
Try turning the wifi off on your phone and see if the cellular data works faster. For an enhanced notification experience, we recommend turning on the Rich Notifications feature in the Ring app. Rich Notifications send you a snapshot image of what’s happening in front of your Ring security camera or video doorbell so you can easily see what’s going on without needing to open the Ring app. They are included in your Ring Home subscription. You may need to update your mobile device's operating system and download the latest version of the Ring app to access the latest in-app features.
The Ring Outdoor Cam was designed with the ability to customize motion zones based on your needs. If you are using a battery-powered device, you may need to toggle on Advanced Motion Detection under Advanced Settings before you can add customizable Motion Zones. To adjust your motion zones and ensure that the device will detect accurately, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the relevant device.
Tap Motion Settings.
At the top, tap Edit Zones or scroll down to tap Camera Motion Zones.

It’s quick and easy to set up and I love that it allows me to link all the cameras on the Ring app. The rechargeable batteries last a good 30 days before having to recharge them.

I was satisfied with my previous two devices (spotlight and doorbell) that I decided to purchase this camera. Easy to setup and use. Connected all three to the one app.

However this camera for some reason (not even ring support knew why) the camera will not show up in Mode Settings, so the Home, Stay and Away function is useless for this camera. I have to manually go to the camera settings and turn the camera on and off. I have two other ring camera’s and they both work great in the Mode Settings. Luckily I purchased the geek squad extended warranty, because best buy only has a 14 day return/exchange policy. I’ve never heard of a company having less than 30 days to return/exchange a product. There are a couple other issues with this camera as well. Hopefully after I exchange this camera, the new, new camera works the way it’s should.

I would suggest if you are using it in a townhouse setting on a garage, you may need the extender for your wifi to make the connection much stronger.
