Cool outdoor security cam.

Wireless is nice and battery life is excellent. I have this over the front door pointing down at the porch so I can see packages on the doorstep, and use it in concert with a peephole doorbell cam.

We installed this on a tree in our front yard. Set up on the phone was easy with voice prompts. Highly recommend for quick set up. Only thing, you will need to charge it prior to installation.

The set up process is very simple. The app is easy to use and has a few convenient configurations. The ability to see the camera in real time is amazing. A subscription is needed to review all of your past video history.

I have 3 other ring cameras and have the ring wifi extender ( forgot what you call it) but even with that I have a close to poor signal eventhough that camera is closest to my wifi device. Only one time that I noticed that it didn't pick up a movement. Still would recommend because it's just so easy to put up and monitor.

Here at Ring, we understand how critical it is for your Ring Chime Pro to work as intended. It's a key component to ensure all connected Ring devices have a strong signal, along with providing an internal audio effect through your home. We are here to lend some assistance.
Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Chime Pro extending your wifi signal. When this happens, we recommend moving your Chime Pro. The ideal placement for your Chime Pro is about halfway between your wifi router and the device it’s connected to.
Wifi extenders work best with devices that won’t be moved, and ideally, the maximum distance between the router and the device should be under 30 feet. If the distance is greater than 30 feet, you might need a different solution to a weak wifi signal, like a mesh network instead of a wifi extender. A wifi router creates a single access point that broadcasts a signal. The further the signal has to go, the weaker the signal gets.

Wish there was an option to move the camera around remotely but it still gets the job done. After the first charge, it got smart with identifying chaff vs actual detected motion. Husband has fun with it by talking to kids through the camera when we walk into the house from the car.
