At Ring, we understand it is essential to have your Ring Stick Up Cam online and working properly so you can keep your home secure. The features and technology provided by the Ring Stick Up Cam are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. Rest assured, we are here to provide you with information so that you can get a concrete resolution as quickly as possible.

It sounds like you have some concerns with the connectivity of your device. What you describe sounds like your device does not have a strong wifi connection, or your speeds are too slow at the mounting location. One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. Since every element of your system uses wifi to communicate with every other element of your system, it’s important to get as strong a signal as possible. You can run a connectivity test when you set up a new device to check the strength of your signal.

To check the strength of your wifi signal, do the following:
Open your Ring app.
Tap on the three lines on the top left of the screen.
Select Devices.
Tap on the Ring device you would like to test.
Tap on the Device Health tile.
On the Device Health screen, look at your signal strength under the Network section.
If your signal is poor or very poor, this can be caused by the distance between the router and your Ring device, the layout of your home, or interference caused by other devices (TV's, game systems, etc.) or materials in your home such as stucco, brick, metal, large mirrors, or glass doors.

Having this information allows someone to make the best purchasing decision for their needs. We would love to provide additional information regarding the Ring Stick Up Camera Battery and the optional Ring Protect Plan options.

It sounds like the recordings you were getting were not meeting your expectations. With an active Ring Protect Plan, your Ring app gives you the power to control how long your Ring devices record events, even if you don't respond to notifications. By lowering or raising your video recording length, you can choose a longer time to see more of each event or less recording time in order to preserve battery life.
