I have it hooked up to a solar panel but it doesn’t always ring when someone comes. I have put it to advanced setting changed motion zones put it on very sensitive and it picks up about 80% of the time

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Stickup Camera picking up the correct motion. The Stick Up Cam uses infrared motion capturing to detect motion, within its field of view. You can use the Ring app to determine the Stick Up Cam’s motion detection range and the specific zones where motion will trigger a smart alert. These settings help ensure that the Stick Up Cam will capture the events you want to see and ignore the ones you don’t. I bought the three pack and installed them in locations around my house. The $100 a year for the Ring Cloud for two or more devices is a bargain for peace of mind.

Everything I normally buy from Best Buy, I get the best deal because they price match. Their customer service and curbside pickup is splendid as well.

Not worth it

When it does connect it’s super slow and low quality and misses motion detection 9/10 times. We’ve tried exchanging it thinking it was just a faulty camera, but the replacement has the exact same problems. I would return it if I could, but we missed the window.

It sounds like your Stick Up Cam could have an unstable or weak connection to your wifi network. A weak wifi connection can cause the Live View to take longer to connect as well as impact the Camera's motion detection. Try reviewing the information in our Help Center article here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Understanding-RSSI-Values-and-Wifi-Signal-Strength. You may need to move the router closer to this Stick Up Cam, or try utilizing a wifi extender at a halfway point between the two in order to improve the signal strength. The serve their purpose and I can’t imagine not having them. I would recommend purchasing a couple of batteries so you can have one charged to replace the other while it’s charging.

I wish all of my room cams were battery operated. I love all of the cams and this one is easy to change for different views. Love the Ring cams.

I had to build a special wood stand . But camera pretty good , I just wish Best Buy sales Rep actually did more research and less false information.
