    I’ve been very happy with all of my Ring cameras, doorbell and security system. This is my third stick up cam. Will possibly add more in the future.

    Nothing special about this camera. It works but I think the entire Ring line is just really basic and over priced. Video quality could be better especially at zoomed levels. And the night time video quality is nowhere near what it should be.

We understand the importance of having your Ring Outdoor Cam (Formerly known as the Ring Stick Up Cam) record clear and concise videos so that you can effectively monitor your home. The Night Vision feature is an invaluable feature of the Ring Outdoor Cam that allows you to clearly view what’s happening on your property after dark. We can definitely assist you with this today, and we are confident we can find the correct settings for your home’s environment.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to "Night Vision." To ensure that the "Night Vision" feature works as intended, make sure your Cam’s infrared light is toggled on in the Ring app. The infrared light control is in your Ring app under Video Settings. Enable "Color Night Vision" in the Ring app to help improve clarity at night.

      To turn the "Color Night Vision" on or off, follow these instructions:
      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the "Menu" (☰).
      Tap "Devices."
      Select the device you want to adjust.
      Tap "Device Settings."
      Tap "Video Settings."
      Toggle "Color Night Vision" on or off.

      Although rare, there have been instances where a Ring device can experience black, pink, and other distorted video quality, like night vision video captured during daytime hours. Here are a few things to try.

      Check your Ring device's signal strength.
      If your Ring device is far from your wifi router, it may be experiencing connection or video issues.
      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the "Menu" (☰).
      Tap "Devices."
      Select the Ring device you would like to test.
      Tap on the "Device Health" tile.
      Scroll to "Signal Strength" under the "Network" section.
      The green, amber, and red colors are indicators of your device connection. Green is good; red is poor.

      Reboot your Ring Outdoor Cam in the Ring app.

      Open the Ring app.
      Tap the "Menu" (☰).
      Tap "Devices."
      Select the device that you wish to reboot.
      Tap on the "Device Health" tile.
      Scroll down to "Reboot This Device."
      Give your device a few moments to start back up.

      Also, we are happy to provide you with more information regarding your concern with the video quality from the device. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. We recommend downloading video clips prior to zooming in for optimal resolution.

    all the ring products are pretty good, but make sure you get the extra batteries because they run out and you have re install. We bough the solar panel charger which is good.

    For the most part I am pleased with the ring cam. Only issue is it will occasionally lose connection to Wi-Fi. When it does you have to be home to reset it. Not very good if you are out of town etc.

    The only issue is the delay but I believe all of the ring products has a video delay. I should have chosen the one with the spotlight

      It sounds like your Ring Outdoor Cam is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Outdoor Cam functioning as intended. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."

      Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
      Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
      Tap "Devices."
      Tap the device that you want to adjust.
      Tap "Motion Settings."
      Tap "Smart Alerts."
      Tap "Enable Feature."

    Complete out home security

    We placed this camera on the garage door, since that was a blind spot. We are able to view all angles of our home even when we are traveling. You won’t regret it

    Definitely works for what I need. Has surprisingly long range and does catch motion about 95% of the time. Only downfall is the software takes forever to view the video

    Works great, however if you have a few days, order these online through Amazon or Ring directly for better pricing. The device itself is highly recommended

    Good overall could be better between light differences and surfaces light reflection. Gives away location when walking by. App is kinda a book with many stories of random life incidents

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. If you are experiencing poor video quality, such as overexposed video or washed out video, try the following troubleshooting steps:
      Avoid glare from the sun: Washed-out videos might be due to overexposure to sunlight. You can adjust the angle of your camera or use a Ring Wedge Kit to angle your doorbell away from a wall or window.
      Enable high dynamic range (HDR): If you would like greater detail in the brightly lit areas of photos and videos taken by your Ring device, you can use the high dynamic range (HDR) toggle in your Ring app (available on select Ring devices).
