Being able to connect to your devices, in the moment, is an important feature to be working properly for you! The free Rapid Ring app, developed by Ring, is a companion to the original Ring app that allows for a faster response to notifications or to enable a Live View faster. You can use the Ring app and Rapid Ring app in conjunction with one another and don't have to worry about interference with your devices. You can download the free Rapid Ring app at the App store (iOS - Apple) or Google Play Store (Android) and use the same email address and password that you use for your regular Ring app. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible. If you are experiencing poor audio or video quality during a live view, but your recordings are fine. This can be caused by either a poor connection between your mobile device and the cloud, or a connectivity problem between the Ring device and your Router. If you are experiencing poor video or audio quality when viewing both the live and recorded video in the Ring application, the problem is almost always some sort of wifi issue like signal or data loss. In rare cases, however, this can be caused by settings in your router. The Ring Stick Up Cam Battery is designed to be a DIY home security solution that can be trusted to provide you with lasting service. While Ring batteries can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home's environment. It is imperative to have peace of mind when it comes to your home security and the battery life in your Ring camera plays a big role in that.

Battery life is heavily dependent on frequency of use, therefore, please consider the following. If you have located your device in a high traffic area, please ensure the motion settings accurately reflect your needs. For example, you could reduce the size of the motion zone to pick unnecessary movement and thus save battery life. If your needs require maximum performance, consider using a Ring Solar or Super Solar Panel. These can help trickle charge the battery and extend the time between manual recharges.

Additionally, the battery life may be affected by poor signal strength. If you've noticed wifi issues, such as poor video quality or trouble connecting to live video, a wifi extender such as the Ring Chime Pro may improve the signal getting to your camera. A cost-effective alternative would be to relocate your router (or camera) in an area that has less interference, even a couple feet can make a big difference.

It sounds like your device is not picking up the motion you are wanting it to. The Ring Stick Up Cam uses 3D Motion Detection with Bird’s Eye Zones. This allows you to pinpoint movements and reduce false alerts for unmatched security coverage. The camera's motion zones let you focus on specific areas that you want your Ring device to cover and ignore high-traffic areas you don't want to monitor. By customizing these zones, you can reduce the number of false motion alerts, such as cars driving by or trees moving in the distance. Your Ring products provide their standard features (instant alerts, live view, and two-way talk) without any subscription. Ring Protect Plans simply offer downloading and sharing video capabilities, for those who want them. The Ring Outdoor Cam was designed to capture motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.

It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to adjusting the motion zone. The dots for the Motion Zones can be small and difficult to maneuver. A great option is to use a tablet to adjust these settings. Tablets like an iPad are much bigger than a smartphone screen and can be easier for making small adjustments. It's best to avoid overlapping motion zones as it may be difficult to edit specific points on overlapping.
