Not good when wet

They have a lot of customization for notifications and seem pretty reliable. One problem I am having is when it rains. They need some kind of lip above the lens to divert some of the moisture away from settling on the lens. They do dry fairly quickly and provide a decent picture and audio.

I feel nest products are better with providing all of the necessary tools to get the job done, i have purchased 3 ring products and all of them do not come with the mounting products that most people would need.

Adds peace of mind

One thing I will complain about is that the sensor sometimes doesn’t pick up people coming up my walkway. Other than that, it is a great tool for being able to see who is coming and going in front of my house and offers great peace of mind. Cannot beat it for the price and Alexa integration.

Great camera

Depending on camera traffic I would recommend buying the solar panel as well as it has helped Us not need to charge the camera so far for our usage

Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring app with most of the features stripped out except for the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app in conjunction with the original Ring app, you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible. It is sometimes a bit too sensitive, but there are settings to help with that. Overall the quality is good and the battery really lasts. It’s been rained on and knocked over by an opossum with no negative effects.

I don't have anyone or any pets at home to check in on so I don't use the app much but as a general security feature, they do the job. For me the battery life is more than acceptable. I think to charge them about once a month and at that time they are at 35-40%. I work 8-5 and am home almost all of the rest of the time, and I don't ever turn mine off, so take that into consideration. If there are more often people in the space where you intend to use them and/or you do turn recording on and off, you may have different battery results. My only particular dislike is that Ring really phoned in the scheduling and home/away features. The best you can get to is to get an alert on your phone when you leave or arrive, reminding you to enable or disable cameras, rather than them just doing so automatically. I believe this is the case across the entire product line and not just a shortcoming of this model.

I’m very happy with it and feel secure. Works well and captures everything, people, animals, even bugs flying around. It works well with computers, smart phones and tablets!

Well I am happy with the quality of picture being wireless and how long the battery stays charged. I do just use it indoor.

Only thing that is annoying is the chimes every time we pass by. Otherwise it’s a great product. I get great picture on my phone and had affordable plans.
