I don’t know why we did not buy this sooner. It makes our family feel safe and it’s very easy to use. The app is user-friendly.

My package came with everything except the plug that goes into the back of the camera where there are two holes for plugs. I also would like for the USB plug and/or battery charger to be longer so that it will be visible while the battery pack is charging. There are some other things that I am not pleased with like the fact that it only records video for up to 120 seconds and I have to keep pressing the reconnect button on the Ring app on my iPad to continue recording. Not good for recording 24/7 if you are worried about thieves breaking in to your house or car at night. Is there another Ring security camera that will run all night without me having to be signed into my Ring account and app? This is because I do not want to be up all night having to press the reconnect button each time the footage ends. Is there any way to fix some of the features that drain the battery levels faster? I wanted to enable some feature, but it said that I could not use the feature since it would drain the battery faster. I hope that the problems will be resolved so that when I buy another Ring camera, there won't be any issues. On a positive note, I do like the quality of the video(s). I also would like for the camera to have a photo option in case someone needs to show evidence and/or a photo of someone to the police. Otherwise, I am happy with the Ring camera.

Not what i expected…

Went with them simply for how good the reviews were. Both cameras pick up motion detection about every other time. Alot of the records are of somthing soon as its going out of frame. Along with that it takes awhile to focus so by the time it does whatever its trying to focus on is out of the frame. Wish things would work like stated

We understand how important it is to have your Ring Stick Up Cam capture all the correct motion events. The Ring Stick Up Cam was designed to capture motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to motion detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."
