By it being 1080p, your picture is pretty clear. The battery will last you for about 30 days then you will need to recharge it. You can secure the camera to any surface by using the security screw that comes with it. You know immediately it's recording by looking at the blue light on the camera so you won't be missing any images. It's very easy to merge with other ring cameras as well.

I get good resolution views on my iPhone from the images. It does pick up some motion that records that it probably shouldn't such as a big truck passing out on the street some fifty feet away. It does well on catching people coming and going up the driveway. I haven't noticed any images of the neighbor cats; that's good! Time will tell about how well the plastic housing will handle the intense summer heat.

Your Ring Stick Up Cam will be happy just about anywhere, indoors or out. It can sit on its own stand, or mount to a wall or ceiling. If the view from your Stick Up Cam or Stick Up Cam Pro is upside-down, inverted or rotated, your camera is most likely not in its ideal mounted position.
