It has motion sensor functionality with sensitivity levels that can be customized by the owner. I have to return my other cameras and replace with more of these. You need cameras to stay connected not randomly disconnect likes competitors do. I made that mistake! I want my Ring back. Will purchase more this week!

Portable Camera

And since it runs on batteries, I cannot say enough about the battery life between charges! In the summer months it will hold a charge for about 6 month and in the winter months about 4 months.
