Depending on the setting you set up the camera with, the battery lasts quite a while. The camera works great. Depending on your intended use, meaning if you desire to have the camera be sensitive to every motion, the battery option may seem frustrating due to the need to recharge every couple of weeks. In this case, if wireless is also key, I would suggest having a spare battery always on hand and charged ready to swap to avoid missed recordings.

After 30 days it’s only live view instead of video of something that happened 2 minutes ago. Ex..(like your kids walking in the house after school)

So you have to buy the separate part for $20 more that has to be ordered direct from ring.

We only opened one and tried it. It was very, very easy to set up and get the app installed on our phones. It worked immediately after being charged. We were disappointed in the picture quality. The arlo had better quality. We also noticed the camera did not always pick up motion. For example the camera pointed at the driveway and I would back out of the garage and it would not get captured. In the end, we returned them and are rethinking what we want in our next cameras.
