If you plan on using only this brand for your security it might not be too bad of a deal even though like I said they're not very cheap. For the quality that you're getting there are other options and other brands that don't charge you $100 per year for service. Overall the quality is good, the boxing is very nice, it comes with all the tools you need to assemble and mount it, and you have the option to view online or on your cell phone. The only problem I have is quality of picture could be a little clearer, the Wi-Fi for me just wasn't staying connected and had lag, also I feel it's a little steep to have to pay $100 a year to use something that I own. I went with a competitor that has a wired DVR camera that comes with four cams DVR and free service no charge for roughly the same price as this one camera. If you are going to use only this brand $100 a year might not be too bad but it's not something I'm willing to pay.

Ring gives customers a complimentary 30-day trial with each new Ring device. After the 30-days, you can choose if you would like to purchase a Ring Protect Plan or not. A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan, you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device. So much for creating these cameras. I’ve been able to catch robbers from robbing all the things in our neigborhood and send footage to the authorities The solar panel function is amazing. Beats having to use batteries or it connected to charger

I only wish that the chime to let you know someone is at the door was louder..

Meh Quality Recording but Cheap Easy Installs

However for this price it's tough to beat them for indoor cams. Ring's monthly service fees are so cheap. We use Nest outdoor since their quality is FAR superior to Ring and Ring indoor because, well, they are cheap and ridiculously easy to install.

The quality with picture and other features work better that you'd expect. The only negative thing I'd say is the i wish I had a little more motion to adjust the camera once mounted.
