I bought this for my porch outside. I liked how it worked, so I bought a couple more. They are battery powered or plugged in. They work just fine without the Ring subscription. And they work the same with the subscription. Picture is clear and has built in speaker. And can play a siren sound to deter theft.

Installation is a snap. Wide angle covers entire back yard. Works as advertised.

Bought this on sale. The price as less than Amazon's. The set up was extremely easy. You just install the app and scan the QR code. It is ready to use. You can tweak the settings later. I purchased a 3rd party mount later and mount it outside the house. The video works day and night and the quality is great. Battery life depends on the settings and how often it is triggered. I purchased another battery and changed it once since first installed.

Great camera and microphone. Very cost effective security product! Have more than one and will buy more! App even yells you the battery is low. And speaking of batteries, it keeps a charge foe a long time unless you have a lot of movement near it all day, setting it off. But you can change ALL those settings. Very user friendly!

clarity was great! did the job it was supposed to! the only thing I didn't like was having to pay a subscription to look at the camera feed. The feed was accessible unless you paid for a ring subscription.

It takes great video shots. Alerts me on my cell phone if someone is there. Works really well. Covers a large area view
