Having this information allows someone to make the best purchasing decision for their needs. We provide information to our customers about the optional Ring Protect Plan on our website, here: https://ring.com/protect-plans. Your Ring app will also notify you during the free 30-day trial of our cloud plan, as well as in a welcome email after a successful setup of a Ring device.
With the optional Ring Protect Plans, you have the ability to review, save and share your video recordings for as little as $4.99 a month. Your Ring videos are stored in the cloud for up to 180 days (in the US). Without a plan, you will still receive real time motion and ring alerts, as well as have access to the Ring live view feature.

This one was the lesser priced model. It does not have the light our newer front and side one have. No problems it works great. Recommend buying an additional battery. The subscription price is more then we wanted to pay
