It sounds like you are enjoying the features of the Ring Stick Up Cam but have some concerns with the battery life and video quality. If your battery is draining too fast and you are experiencing poor video quality, a poor wifi connection may be the cause. A poor connection can cause your camera to frequently disconnect and reconnect to your wifi network, which wastes energy and contributes to battery drainage.

If your wifi signal is weak or obstructed, symptoms may include:

Devices disconnecting from wifi and having trouble reconnecting.
Reduced or distorted audio or video quality.
Delayed notifications.
Missing Motion Events.
Trouble connecting to Live View.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Stickup Camera picking up the correct motion. The Stick Up Cam uses infrared motion capturing to detect motion, within its field of view. You can use the Ring app to determine the Stick Up Cam’s motion detection range and the specific zones where motion will trigger a smart alert. These settings help ensure that the Stick Up Cam will capture the events you want to see and ignore the ones you don’t.
