Unfortunately whenever there is heavy rain the camera reports that it is 'offline' even though it is plugged directly into an outlet. After the rain this issue seems to persist for a couple hours then stops and works as it should. Frustrating to get the notification that the camera is offline constantly. Otherwise it works just fine when its not raining outside. Wide range of coverage and zones are nice to get notified of motion in certain areas.

The Ring Stick Up Cam is designed to work in many environments to provide you with peace of mind and security. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the connection issue you mentioned in your review.
Ring doorbells and outdoor security cameras are water-resistant and designed to withstand normal rainfall and snow. Ring products are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water or sprayed with high pressure water. If you can, it is recommended to keep your Ring device under a protective overhang such as a hanging roof.
Usually, a device falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss. In rare cases, this can be caused by settings in your router. To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In edition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. We also recommend adding a Ring Chime Pro to your network. The Ring Chime Pro simply plugs into a wall outlet between your router and the Ring Stick Up Cam to assist with the wifi signal strength to the device.

Adding Video to complete alarm system

Ring provides the tools needed for the installation and instructions on how to change the orientation of the camera for wall mounting. Ring also provides an app which lets you view the video on your cell phone or computer. The app also integrates with Alexa. This means I can tell Alexa to show any videos from my Ring doorbells or cameras on my Echo Show, or even my TV. Ring and Alexa are owned by Amazon.

I had an older model ring get this one replaced and it’s 10 times better. The clarity is incredible. I had scary decorations up for Halloween and the camera caught all of my victims clearly!

There is an option when setting up if you are going to have the camera facing out of a window. Microphone and speaker work well (only tested during setup). The camera is the same between the corded and cordless version. Buying the corded version you will get notifications that the battery is low (because it doesnt come with one)

We added a pool and wanted to have a camera in the back yard to make sure if anyone comes back there we know. It has a great picture and works with our Ring plan.

Price a little expensive but very good quality compared to the cheaper ones. Application is great! Very easy to use. 10 usd per month ( for cloud storage) for all the cameras. Nothing to complain.
