Make sure you look for wire free vs wired. Also indoor and outdoor. Very important to think ahead about of you want to bring out the ladder to charge it or let it be headache free. Quality is clear and enough for our entry but we have spotlight version other places.

Video quality is satisfactory but lag time to establish a live connection is annoying. The activity notification feature is useful if you want to remotely monitor property. But you will need to subscribe to the Ring cloud service to be able to see activity after a notification. Price is high compared to numerous camera alternatives.

It's a nice compliment to the Ring doorbell and can be used in conjunction what it so when the doorbell rings both cameras can activate and record giving you much better visuals than a single camera.

Unfortunately whenever there is heavy rain the camera reports that it is 'offline' even though it is plugged directly into an outlet. After the rain this issue seems to persist for a couple hours then stops and works as it should. Frustrating to get the notification that the camera is offline constantly. Otherwise it works just fine when its not raining outside. Wide range of coverage and zones are nice to get notified of motion in certain areas.

The Ring Stick Up Cam is designed to work in many environments to provide you with peace of mind and security. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the connection issue you mentioned in your review.
Ring doorbells and outdoor security cameras are water-resistant and designed to withstand normal rainfall and snow. Ring products are not waterproof and should not be submerged in water or sprayed with high pressure water. If you can, it is recommended to keep your Ring device under a protective overhang such as a hanging roof.
Usually, a device falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss. In rare cases, this can be caused by settings in your router. To determine whether or not the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In edition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. We also recommend adding a Ring Chime Pro to your network. The Ring Chime Pro simply plugs into a wall outlet between your router and the Ring Stick Up Cam to assist with the wifi signal strength to the device.

The features of zooming and the video quality is great. Using indoors and it is great for a central monitoring. Voice playback captured and you can speak through it as well. Great connectivity with Ring and this camera is pretty inexpensive for all it can do. Great field of view as well.

Just mount it in the location you’d like with the hardware that comes with the camera, plug it in, and connect to your Ring app. This has significantly added to the security of our home as it notifies us of suspicious activity in real-time.

Can monitor on your cellphones with the Ring app and on the Echo Show with the Alexa app. Will likely expand our security footprint with additional cameras. Easy to install and enables you to monitor from anywhere.

Works great never had a problem with it. Sometimes it disconnects from wifi like anything else, just hook it back up. But it catches useful footage
