Still adjusting notifications and settings for my site. I live at the end of a busy street. lots of walkers during this nice weather, LOL. Got a nice shot of a deer eating my front porch plants!

I had zero trouble starting it. I had to improvise the mounting because I wanted to hang it from the roof overhang. I wish they had made provision for this.

This camera is ok at best but not reliable. The camera has to be pointed in the exact path you want detected which can be difficult with the mount that is included in the box. The daytime detection can be tricky with objects like branches or cats getting detected as a human?! The night visions is acceptable but detection is worthless even though you can see the video clear people will not be detected. If you need a more reliable detection I would recommend getting the ring camera with the light bars on the sides detection is great.

Having reliable notifications is one of the most important features for a home security device. This unit was designed to have a 115 degree horizontal and 65 degree vertical field of view in order to capture events on your property.
Ring battery products, such as your Stick Up Camera, “see” the world through a network of three linked passive infrared (PIR) sensors. These are heat sensors that detect motion by monitoring heat within the detection area. Since people are hotter than the surrounding areas, as a person enters the detection area, the heat measurements change. The motion sensors register this change as movement and send out an alert. In addition, the PIR sensors are pointed downward to detect motion from five feet to 30 feet away, while minimizing notifications from things like traffic. Sync right up through the ring app. Alerts work good also as long as you have a strong WiFi signal. Recommend WiFi extender if unit is far away from your modem.

Very easy to install, the app is easy to access on your smart phone. I highly recommend this, as I myself will defiantly be getting one for my home.

I live in a nice apartment area but there are times that maintenance may have to come by ir inspectors and I have a sense of comfort knowing that I can communicate with them Live, and nit have to worry about anything else from there.

I wish there was a way to shorten the power cord, some of my cameras have way to much exess cord.
