Ring knows the importance of having the motion detection work as intended. It is a valuable feature that is designed to notify you as to who may be near your home. Please know that it is a priority for us to be of assistance and find a resolution to your concern.
We understand the importance of motion being detected consistently on your XXX. A device installed at the recommended height of 48 inches off the ground with customized zones can ensure proper motion detection. When creating your motion zones, note the potential paths people take to approach and draw your motion zones to exclude areas where you do not want the Ring device to monitor, such as busy streets or neighbor’s houses.

Poor quality

We installed it, less than a month ago, hardwired in, with our door bell and the battery has already gone dead twice in less than a month. I have been on the phone with ring and the answer I get is reboot and charge the battery. The battery is suppose to charge automatically if it is hardwired in, it also looses connection to WIFI all the time, even though the WIFI box is down the hall from it and we have a booster. I have the 1st generation ring on my garage door, when I had it on the front door, it didn’t require the battery be installed and it worked like a charm, now that it’s the other end of the house it never looses connection to WIFI and still works great. Don’t waste your money on the more expensive Ring door bell, it doesn’t work well!!

It was on a weekend even, and on top of that I could actually understand them! There can be issues with any product, the support is what is important and absolutely no complaints here. They determined it was defective and sent a replacement unit out the next business day. Very satisfied.
