Posted .Hi Damianbaz,
We agree it's vital that your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus detect accurate motion within the monitored zones, so you can be alerted when someone is at your door. This is Ring's next-generation doorbell designed with improved motion detection, including the all new near zone. The near zone feature activates a horizontal motion zone in areas only 12 to 15 feet in front of your camera. Here are a few pro-tips for making the most of the motion detection feature on your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus.
1. Utilize the Near Zone feature.
2. Mount the Ring Doorbell 3 Plus at about 48 inches (1.22 m) from the ground.
3. If you subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan, you can turn on People Only Mode within the Motion Settings to reduce the number of notifications you receive so that you only receive motion alerts caused by humans.
We would love the opportunity to assist with optimizing your motion settings. We appreciate that you have placed value in owning a Ring device to secure your home and know it's important that it meets your needs and expectations. For any additional questions or to share your suggestion for Blink integration, please reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/.

Posted .Hi Ace2019,
Thank you for taking the time to share your Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus experience with us. You should be able to enjoy the peace of mind that the doorbell is designed to add to your home security. This device is designed to provide a simple DIY installation, whether you are hardwiring it to a compatible doorbell system, or powering it via the removable and rechargeable battery pack.
If you are hardwiring the Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus, it is compatible with most digital and mechanical doorbell systems powered by a transformer (8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz). When hardwiring this doorbell to a compatible system it should auto-detect the type of chime kit you have and ring the chime kit inside your home when the button is pressed. Posted .Hello Rashard84,
Thank you for taking the moment to share your experience with us. We agree that getting the most life from your Ring battery is essential, so that it can provide you with round the clock coverage. We understand the importance of having your home security devices work properly, and we would like to offer our help!
While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home's environment such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus, the more your battery is used to power the live HD video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. To prevent excessive activity, you can adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, or change the motion frequency.
In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the live view to look or speak through your camera. As most of our Ring Doorbells are powered by lithium-ion batteries, it's important to note that at temperatures below 40 °F, the battery is less effective at holding a charge and may require more frequent recharges.
We appreciate the value you have placed in owning a Ring Doorbell 3 Plus, and would love to help optimize the battery life. Please visit our community forum at https://community.ring.com/, as we have some additional solutions we'd love to share with you.
Sincerely,
Danielle with Ring

Completely useless
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ring notifies you of all activities AFTER it happens. Deliveries are dropped in wrong locations because the camera doesn’t start rolling in time to communicate with driver. Neighbor had a break in and we couldn’t get any description because the “ pre roll “ is grainy and black and by the time it actually started recording, the person was gone.

Posted .Hello Christina,
It is important that the motion detection feature on your Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus meet your needs and expectations. We understand you've selected Ring to keep you updated on activity around your home, and receiving notifications when activity is detected is essential.
2. Mount the doorbell at about 48 inches (1.22 m) from the ground.
3. If you subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan, you can turn on People Only Mode within the Motion Settings to reduce the number of notifications you receive so that you only receive motion alerts caused by humans.
4. Set the Motion Frequency setting to 'Frequently', to ensure all activity is captured.
The Pre-Roll feature allows you to view more complete motion events captured by your Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus. If you have an active Ring Protect Plan the Pre-Roll feature will record the four seconds of the activity before the motion event and attach it to the event clip for you to playback at your leisure.
We agree that your Ring Doorbell 3 Plus should notify you when someone is at your home consistently and reliably. Please reach out to us at https://community.ring.com/ for additional tips and support! Our top priority is ensuring the doorbell's features are meeting your needs.

Posted .Hello Dadreviews58,
First and foremost, we thank you for your business and the opportunity in serving your home security needs. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus is designed to connect you to 1080p HD video consistently and reliably. We understand how important the video feature is, as this allows you to see your visitors.
Poor video quality or connectivity can sometimes be caused by a wifi issue. We recommend running a distance test in order to discover what video performance you receive at your router, compared to how it performs when mounted outside. For the best results, please do the following:
1. Remove your Ring doorbell from its mounting and bring it into the same room as your wifi router.
2. Be sure you've turned off your cellular data and connected to the same wifi network as your Ring device.
3. Open your Ring app on your smart-phone or tablet.
4. Trigger a motion event on your Ring doorbell.
5. Examine the resulting video.
If you find that the video is clear and you are connected fast, then we recommend improving the wifi signal to your Ring doorbell by connecting it to a wifi extender, such as the Ring Chime Pro. However, if you find that the video is still of poor quality or takes too long to load, then you will want to address issues with your wifi speeds.
We appreciate that you have placed value in owning a Ring device to secure your home and know it's vital that the video features meet your needs and expectations. Please reach out to us today at https://community.ring.com/ for additional tips and support!

Not that great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have some problems with deleting videos. Still trying to get help from ring.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Ring
Posted .Hi Twalker,
We'd love to help assist you in deleting your videos properly, as this is an important part of managing your home security. Assuming that you are wanting to delete the videos directly from the app, please follow the directions below for your preferred device's operating system:
(Please note this is applicable when running the Ring app version 3.38.1, if you need to update your Ring app, please follow this article first: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/204384784-Downloading-and-Updating-the-Ring-App.)
For Android, open your Ring app and select the History tile on the main page. From here, press and hold one of the events in the list. This will cause a bubble tic to appear to the left of each event. You can now select which events you wish to delete by selecting each event singularly, or tapping on the three dots at the top right-hand corner of your screen and selecting Delete All.
For iOS, from the History tile located on your main page, you will be brought to the event history for all devices. If you swipe right on the screen, you should then see bubble tics appear next to each event. At this point, you may select each event individually and then tap the trashcan icon on the bottom left-hand corner of your screen. You will be asked to confirm this action to ensure you do not delete the wrong video. Alternatively, once you have swiped right, you will see three dots at the top right-hand corner of your screen which allows you to delete all videos at once.
It's so important to us to know that your concerns are being addressed, and that we have helped improve your Ring experience. We offer a Ring Community platform from our website which allows you to help one another and share your feedback/experiences with Ring. We invite you to reach out at https://community.ring.com/ if any additional information is needed regarding your concern.
Kindest Regards,

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please don’t buy this if you expect to talk to the person watching this camera. This must have been a very discouraging experience for you. We would like to assure you that this is not the experience that we want you to have with Ring. Worse than other cameras
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve bought a much cheaper camera that offered limited playback. Ring doesn’t offer at all. The extra signal boost doesn’t help. Anytime i get a notification, my feed won’t pop up. It works occasionally if i check it randomly. NEVER works after a notification, which is essentially useless.
