We understand how pertinent it is to have your home security running smoothly. The assurance that your Ring Video Doorbell 3 Plus has a solid wifi connection is vital to your peace of mind. Please know that we are here to take a deeper look at this with you, and ensure this concern gets resolved quickly.
While not comprehensive, the three most common causes of failure to complete the setup (after entering an incorrect password) are your Ring device being too far from your wifi router, having a problem with your internet connection, or some type of issue related to your wifi modem or router.
If you've already brought your Ring doorbell inside next to your router and the setup continues to fail, try rebooting your modem and/or router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, the devices like to be rebooted about once a month for optimal performance.
To reboot these devices, please follow the instructions below:
-Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don't just turn it off). If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them
-Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in and wait for your internet to be restored
-Confirm that your internet has been restored by connecting another device to your wifi network and trying to access a website, then repeat the setup process for your Ring doorbell.

Depending on your devices' issue, rebooting it may resolve your concern. Please remove the battery for approximately 10 seconds, then reinsert. Once your device reboots, it will automatically reconnect to your home wifi.

Good doorbell camera

Got a replace, and this one worked great. I have since went to a blink doorbell because I have blank cameras all around my house, I have nothing bad to say about the ring doorbell

Tons of false positives

It doesn’t go off until someone is right in front of the door but is set off by the wind. We have spent hours on the phone w multiple ring agents and they csnt figure out the problem. We have returned multiple devices they say are defective and added wedges. Nothing works. Im currently looking outside my door. There is no movement and its going off non stop. Wind ? Know one seems to know. If we desensitize the settings it wont pick up people. It sometimes picks up cars sometimes doesn’t even though i have the settings for o exclude the road. It has a mind of its own. I got this to help me feel safer and its not doing that. It gives tons of false positives and the battery only lasts about 4 weeks. The picture is also not as advertised. U can barely tell any features of the person especially in the black and white pre roll which is the only time mine picks up a person because its triggered so late. Very disappointed in ring.
