Was a great value price bundle. It was easy to install and picks up a wide range view from my porch. It does go off on windy days if you have decor outst that moves. I am still learning all the settings and things it can do and I like the extra secy for my home.

But, but, buuuttttt, When you are away you get a delay more than 1 minute while the image is loading. Another drawback, you have to pay monthly to see previous videos

We recently released the Rapid Ring App, which was designed to facilitate a speedy response when answering notifications. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring App with most of the features stripped out except for Ring device statuses and the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app instead of the original Ring App you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.
Think of this app as a companion to the Ring App. You'll continue to use your original Ring App for all the settings functions built into your Ring devices such as checking video history or adjusting motion and video settings.
Out of the box, each Ring security device comes with a free 30 day trial period of our optional Ring Protect Plan. With a Ring Protect Plan active on your account, videos of each ring, motion, and live view event are stored in the cloud for 60 days (US). Allowing you to review, share, and save them at your leisure. Without a Ring Protect Plan in place, you will still receive instant alerts and have access to the live view and two way talk features your device has.

The visual is nice, but I can tell the quality and workmanship have been minimized. I was able to compare this new doorbell to my older one and was surprised that the quality of the This new doorbell was more flimsy and plastic. I’m hoping that this doorbell holds up in the long run...I did purchase a 2-year warranty, just in case I need to have it replaced.

The first generation that I had, I threw away cause it just would not connect to my wife. I ended up getting a nest and it worked well. I eventually purchased this one after my nest and it has worked well with little issues. They have fixed a lot of bugs that made the first gen almost unbearable. Good product

The battery life is shorter than I expected for the way arranged the settings, but I just purchased a second battery. Wasn't to sure about the solar option. But the cam does all I need it to do. $30 a year is also well worth it to have the captures stored.

It is hardwired but over the last 6 months it has said my battery is low even though it’s hardwired. It also loses connectivity at times. I did the easiest thing first which was to update my app. I do plan to reach out to ring support to troubleshoot.

The Ring Video Doorbell 3 followed the Ring Video Doorbell 2 (now discontinued) as the next generation of Ring doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the Video Doorbell 3 has dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi connectivity and improved energy efficiency.
After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell 3 keeping a charge. While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. There are a lot of options on the market currently, and I am happy that I chose ring. Was thrilled to see that it comes with a black faceplate as well. Hasnt had any problems to this day.
