Also, I heard they were catching on fire which makes me a little hesistant on using but can't wait til i move out of here next year to give this device a go!! Got it on a good sale that came with the Alexa Echo Show for $10 and the Blink Mini camera for $5. :)

The yearly subscription is very affordable. The app is user friendly. Installation was super easy (I'm 22 and installed it without any assistance). I convinced my parents to get one.

However picture quality isn't as good as hard-wired option and also don't like the fact that 24/7 recording isn't available. But it does fit the bill if you simply want an option to know who's at your door without opening it.

My wife and I have now had it for about a month and I can happily say that “I Love It”!!! You want regret getting one. Works great!!

Full signal wifi, this camera still has some dragging and lagging at times. Charging the battery is easy. Definitely not bad in a pinch, but hardwired Ring doorbells definitely perform better.

If you are experiencing delays in connecting to video, we will want to look at the connection between your wifi router and the Ring device. The signal strength to your router is a key point for the connectivity of your Ring Doorbell 3. We are confident with a few changes you will see increased performance.
There are three main factors that can weaken your wifi strength:
1. Physical obstructions
2. Competing wifi networks
3. Other electronics

Now I know when the mail has been delivered, what’s going on outside, who is at the door and even confirmed that my cleaning lady washes the window on the storm door!

You have to reset the Ring Video Doorbell at the device and then re-join it to you Wireless Router. Bought one for the Daughter for her new house.

After I figured out how to adjust the perimeter, I don't get notices when cars go by. But on a very windy day, it chimes a lot.

They are working well just now need to have a higher internet frequency to keep all 3 devices to stay online 24/7.

It records a good picture from a good distance. What I don’t like about it, is it gets very annoying going off so much.I wish you could just easily turn it on and off for everyone in the house. You can’t unless you take the battery out.

We agree it's vital that your Ring Doorbell 3 detect accurate motion within the monitored zones, so you can be alerted when someone is at your home. This is Ring's next-generation doorbell designed with improved motion detection, including the all new near zone. The near zone feature activates a horizontal motion zone in areas only 12 to 15 feet in front of your camera. Here are a few pro-tips for making the most of the motion detection feature on your Ring Doorbell 3.
1. Utilize the Near Zone feature.
2. Mount the Ring Doorbell 3 at about 48 inches (1.22 m) from the ground.
3. If you subscribe to a Ring Protect Plan, you can turn on People Only Mode within the Motion Settings to reduce the number of notifications you receive so that you only receive motion alerts caused by humans.
4. Set the Motion Frequency setting to 'Regularly' or 'Periodically', to reduce motion alerts and recordings.
Also, our Motion Scheduling Feature allows you to schedule periods of time when you do not want to receive motion alerts.
