Ring strives for a seamless setup experience with each of our devices. Furthermore, we would be happy to share some suggestions and instructions to resolve the concerns you mentioned.

Once you've completed setting up your Ring device in your app, your wife will be the sole account Owner. As the account Owner, she will have control over all the settings on your Ring devices. If you want to use multiple electronic devices (tablet, another phone, etc.) to control your Ring devices, download the Ring app onto the additional devices and use the same login and password you use to login to the Ring app. Here is a helpful step by step article: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/211018223-Allowing-Access-to-Shared-Users-and-Controlling-Ring-Devices-with-Multiple-Electronic-Devices.

Every second counts when connecting to live video as this ensures you can see and speak with visitors. If you are experiencing delays in connecting to video, we will want to look at the connection between your wifi router and the Ring device. The signal strength to your router is a key point for the connectivity of your Ring device. Rest assured, we're here to provide you with solutions. There are three main factors that can weaken your wifi strength:

1. Physical obstructions
2. Competing wifi networks
3. Other electronics

We’d love to help troubleshoot this issue and work towards a solution. In the meantime, please use our Rapid Ring app. This app was designed to facilitate a speedy response when answering notifications. You'll need to use your original Ring App for all the settings functions built into your Ring device such as seeing past videos or adjusting motion settings. To download the Rapid Ring app, please go to the App Store (for iOS devices) or the Play Store (for Android devices) and search for “Rapid Ring”. Download and install the Rapid Ring app on your mobile device.

We understand how important it is for your device to detect motion consistently and reliably. The Ring Video Doorbell 3 is designed to detect motion based on your specifications so that you are notified of all motion events that matter to you. We would love the opportunity to work with you to get your device performing optimally for your home's environment.

It sounds like you have some concerns with your device's motion detection. If your device appears to be missing a lot of motion, you may want to check the motion frequency setting. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you.

Follow these steps to adjust the motion frequency:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard.
Tap Devices.
Select the device you'd like to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Motion Frequency.
Select Frequently, Regularly or Periodically.
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active. Shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner.
