It doesn't always detect when someone is at the door, and it has occasionally misidentified a person for motion and visa versa. Also, despite troubleshooting, and speaking with both Ring and my mobile provider, I still do not receive notifications to my Galaxy s10+- partly defeating the purpose for the device. Notifications works with my mom's iphone11, so hopefully once I get a new device, notifications will no longer be an issue. Also, found it difficult to screw the battery cover in completely. I also had difficulty adding a user, my mom never receives the invitation email. Overall 3/5.

In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, and the Pre-Roll feature, the Video Doorbell 3 boasts dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi connectivity, improved energy efficiency, better screw strength and advanced motion detection. Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell 3 picking up the correct motion. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only the areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of "false positive" motion alerts. Hate that if you have any WiFi issues it does not always record. Also, it’s range is limited. Was not easy for the unhandy to install.
