I had nothing to compare it to, but it was a fairly simple setup and works great with my existing Alexa system. Now, throw in the free Echo dot and it is fantastic.

Doesn't ring indoors

We have it hardwired just like our last one. For some reason, it will not ring indoor to let us know someone is at the door. We have done trouble shooting, have the battery charged in it (last one didn't come with a battery), and can't find the problem. I'm not happy at all with the Newest version of Ring Doorbell, and do not recommend it. Purchase and older version if you are in the market for one.

Based on your review, it seems that you are having trouble using your internal chime with the Ring Video Doorbell 3.
The Ring Video Doorbell 3 is compatible with AC-powered door chimes operating between 8 and 24 volt AC transformers, but is not compatible with wireless door chimes or any chime/intercom system using a DC transformer. If your internal chime is no longer working, we recommend checking your wiring to ensure everything is correct.
