While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every motion and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature. I have not found this to be the case at all. Giving RING the benefit of the doubt, it has been extremely cold outside and may have contributed to the short battery life. Additionally, it seems to have trouble staying connected to the internet. But all in all, I am pleased. Pleased enough that I bought the year subscription.

The Ring Video Doorbell 3 followed the Ring Video Doorbell 2 (now discontinued) as the next generation of Ring doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the Video Doorbell 3 has dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi connectivity and improved energy efficiency.
After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell 3 keeping a charge. While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. I had nothing to compare it to, but it was a fairly simple setup and works great with my existing Alexa system. Now, throw in the free Echo dot and it is fantastic.
