It sounds like your battery is draining faster than expected. The batteries in Ring devices are designed to go months between charges under normal conditions. However, real battery life is dependent on a number of factors, such as local weather, the number of events captured, and the frequency of activation.

The more events captured by your Ring devices, the more your battery is used. Using Live View often can also drain your battery faster. If your device is capturing an excessive number of events each day, you may need to recharge your battery sooner.

To prevent excessive activity, you can adjust your Motion Settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, change the motion frequency to regularly or periodically, or adjust the direction of your Ring device so it doesn't detect as much motion.

If you have a subscription to Ring Protect, you can share your videos and photos with anyone, including neighbors, friends, family, and local law enforcement. With Ring Protect, videos captured by your doorbell will be saved to your Ring account for up to 180 days. You can manage your video storage time through the Control Center. Photos captured will be saved to your Ring account for up to 7 days, so you can review them at any time.
