      While subscribed to one of our optional Ring Protect Plans, you will be able to access videos from every motion and live view event for up to 60 days (US). You can also access, download, and share past Ring videos. Without this service, you will still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone as well as have access to the Live View feature.       After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell 3 is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below:
      Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off).
      If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them.
      Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in.
      Wait for your internet to be restored.

    Only picks up people walking to my front door 75% of the time. I have had UPS deliver packages and it never noticed them. My son who is 6ft tall has had to wave his arms right in front of camera to get it to detect motion. My $25 wyze camera detects every time don't waste your money on ring.

      One of the most important measurements in your Ring security network is the strength of your wifi signal. You may run a special connectivity test at any time to see if a bad wifi connection is responsible for problems with your device. We have included step by step instructions below:

      -Open Ring app
      -Hamburger Menu/ 3 Lines
      -Select Devices
      -Select a Ring device
      -Select Device Health
      -Select "Test your Wifi" under the Tools Section
      -Tap "Start test
      -Once the test is done, Enter your Results from the Speed test

      Sometimes, even with high internet speeds, the connection is not as strong at the location of the Ring device.     bought this about one month ago, still not operating the way it should, contacted ring, they claim problem is with internet server, internet is just terribly slow, they claim they are working on it, no improvement. wouldn't recommend this to anyone. hooked up to doorbell, still battery drains drains down.

    Horrible device. Easy to install however, that’s the only plus I’ll give this brand. Never worked properly. Rang tech support which charge $3 a month and calls go to foreign countries that rep don’t speak clear English.

      Although they are rare, disconnects do occur and can usually be traced back to nearby interference or underlying network issues. Both of which are easily resolved with a few changes. A common solution to most network related problems is creating a guest network. You could then pair the Ring Doorbell 3 to the guest network to ensure the device remains online. Another thing to consider is wifi interference caused by nearby objects or materials. Things such as brick, metal, or stucco can diminish the wifi signal as it travels to your doorbell. Do you happen to have your doorbell mounted on any of these surfaces?

    Very disappointed. I am in the house putting away groceries before there is an alert from the Ring. Images stop and start, misses someone walking within 10 feet of it but will sometimes pick up cars on the street out of the zones set up. Yes, it is connected with a strong single to our wifi. We actually purchased 2. 1 for a vacation home and one for home in Orlando. Both act the same, very poorly. Only good part is the info from other Ring users in the area. Do not recommend.

    Dies what it’s intended to do but the battery has to be charged often

      The Ring Video Doorbell 3 followed the Ring Video Doorbell 2 (now discontinued) as the next generation of Ring doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the Video Doorbell 3 has dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wifi connectivity and improved energy efficiency.

      After reading your review, it seems that you are having trouble with your Ring Video Doorbell 3 keeping a charge. While batteries in Ring devices can go months between recharges with normal use, this is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured.     Not so great....

    As a professional installer, we have had plenty of grief w/this over-hyped product.... we have had multiple cases of vandalism& even theft of all Ring devices which is embarrassing when it happens. At least Ring offers free replacement if you send them a police report in 45 days of loss of their equip. It really just gives you a false sense of any security..maybe a video of masked/hooded crimes against you at best....

      We understand where you are coming from, as this isn't the experience we want our customers to have. Ring devices come with everything you need to securely install them to a home. Our team hears your concern and are here to help you find a way forward.

      In the case of the Ring Video Doorbell 3, it is screwed tight to the wall and secured with security screws so that it is not easily removable.

      If someone does attempt to damage your Ring Doorbell, the motion-activated camera should capture a video of them doing so, and you’ll be able to use that as video evidence for a police report.

      In addition, we offer Theft Protection for all devices purchased and will issue a free replacement if it’s stolen or vandalized.
