Doubles our Door coverage and alarms

However, we decided to add this one for the back door. In the course of doing yardwork, I occasionally find myself in back of the house and realize I forgot to unlock the back door before I went out. The fact that the doorbell rings is, in and of itself, an advantage but since both doorbells are tied to the home network, it also announces which doorbell is ringing. In addition, it ls linked into our camera network inside and outside of the house for security and recording purposes.

I went to Merrillville store and spoke with Joe Palma. He advised me of the products available without being pushy. We arranged the purchase and set up an installation appointment. On the day of installation, I arrived shortly before appointment time and dropped off car to Thenios. He was friendly, letting me know how long the install would take. Within the time frame specified, he called me to let me know the install was finished I was very satisfied with salesman, installer, and quality of products.

I love this camera, the picture/video quality during the day and night are great! I love how even if someone walks near the door that the app notifies me, if I’m not able to look at it right away the app saves a clip/video of the time that way I can look back on it. This camera has helped me so much and makes me feel safe day and night. The app is really useful and easy to use. I love how you’re able to talk and make conversation through the doorbell with anyone at the door.

Needed to upgrade my mobile phone to take advantage of the features...Easy to communicate over intercom. Still playing with the settings as our street is busier than usual due to road construction.. This is our first time having a security device like this, but do find it easy to use and to review the recordings.

We're happy to share some steps to help you optimize the settings for motion detection on your device. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is picking up too much motion, we recommend lowering the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This also includes changing the "Motion Frequency" to "Regularly" or "Periodically" in the Ring app.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts", please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."

I have Arlo cameras and have no issues. This is mounted closer to my router than my cameras. The picture is very clear. Going to try adding a WiFi extender today see if that helps.
