    This is my second Ring doorbell as I had the original Ring 1. My first unit was not hard wired and it had a rechargeable battery but it wasn't removable. I went with this style because of the ease of being able to recharge the battery without having to remove the whole unit. I'm glad I went with this style. An added bonus is you get to pick from 2 different colors as both covers come with the unit.

    Love my ring door bell, wish I would have got a new model but at they where all sold out at the time. But this one does a great job. The only issue I have with it is that sometimes it senses someone to late and when it starts recording the person is already gone. I live in apartments so I get heavy foot traffic but it does an ok job.
