We understand the importance of having events recorded on your Ring Video Doorbell 3. Without a Ring Home plan, your Ring products provide certain features such as Live View, Two-Way Talk, and Real-Time Notifications on your smartphone. Ring Home plans simply offer additional features for those who want them. Here are some additional features that are included when you subscribe to a Ring Home Plan.
1. Video History for up to 180 Days. Access recorded videos of every motion and Live View event for up to 180 days.
2. Snapshot Capture. See what's happening in between motion-activated events with recurring photo snapshots taken throughout the day.
3. Package and Person Alerts. Enable to get a notification only when your device spots a person or when there's a package in designated areas.
4. Rich Notifications. See exactly what triggered an alert with a photo preview right in the notification without opening the Ring app.

Easy installation, lots of coverage. It has prerecorded messages you can choose for when someone rings your doorbell. It is funny to watch their expressions when it tslks to them.

Not sure if one is actually better then the other one, model wise. Trying to decide which to buy was more effort than installing it. Added Ring chime pro, and an extra battery to cycle as they're rechargeable. Mines hard wired so it does charge, but I believe in having a back up. Even rings my phone. Kinda cool..

I like the fact that I can set the area for setting off the video and alert. At first, every car that went by would set it off. With a little adjusting, we brought it back to just motion from the sidewalk.
