It was easy to install and set up. I'm still adjusting the settings because there is a lot of foot traffic in front of my door so motion tracking tends to pick up a lot.

She's not a technically savvy person but is able to use the app and see who's at the door and speak with them without having to get up and risk a fall.

I love the ring doorbell 3. Pick up visitors as soon as they walk up the steps into the front porch. Pictures are very clear Wish that it was wired so I don’t have to charge the battery.

Nice to have a replaceable battery instead of having to charge the whole unit. The camera is ok. Its not quite as sensitive as we need it even after playing with the setting. It has missed a few intruders we would have liked to have captured on camera.

Cursor speed can easily be adjusted in settings menu. If you have a very large hand or plan on using the mouse for extremely long periods of time it might be too small for you.

In addition to the front view, it gives a great, wide view on either side of the door on live view. Feel much better on having pkg's left @ the front door!

I’m glad that I can monitor my house from inside or when I’m out and about. It was easy to install and the app is great. Very thankful for this doorbell.

We can definitely assist you with this today, and we are confident we can find the correct settings for your home’s environment.
It sounds like you have some concerns with the motion detection of your device. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is picking up too much motion, we recommend lowering the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This also includes changing the "Motion Frequency" to "Regularly" or "Periodically" in the Ring app.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts", please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."

It works well for what I need it and I’m sure it will be a deterrent for any potential intruder. Additionally, the image quality is good and it has many useful capabilities.

I was able to go straight to her house and install immediately. We didn’t have to option to hardwire the doorbell, so it took a few hours for the battery to charge. The instructions and set up are incredibly easy.
