Strong Internet Connection Needed.

However, because the modem/router was too far from where the doorbell was installed, I constantly received a weak signal notification. I had to purchase a wifi extender. It did the job, but I'll still have some issues here and there with connection.

I like the way you can close the area that you want to monitor so it’s not triggered by traffic going by in the street.very nice ! I can’t wait to get the latest 4 series to see if it can really do more than the 3 series does. I really don’t see how it could be any better!!! Thanks

What we were looking for

It’s wasn’t too difficult to install the WiFi. I have not installed it as wired so I have to charge the battery which is a small pain. I would recommend two batteries if solely running battery as the power source.

Stay alert with video doorbells

Would highly recommend having transformers installed and wires run. Battery life is not worth replacing and charging. Also creates a vulnerability while "off." Took additional settings setup to make Ring communicate with mechanical door chime, but all in all the website walks you through it. Glad I finally have front porch security.
