The ring door bell is awesome because it allows me to immediately view who is at my door. I can also view video history of people and motion detected at my door.

This is a very good invention to add protection for your home. I am happy with the Ring. Only hope no subscription fee to save recording. Phones now have icloud.

I love the safety provided by this item. I can see at a glance who is at my door and allows me the option of opening it. Great safety feature in my neighborhood.

I purchased this as I had no way to see who was at my door. It has taken any anxiety away I had in answering my doorbell. I can talk to the person at the door to find out who they are first before opening the door. Any activity it reads a little chime goes off. I monitor the activity wherever I’m at..anywhere on my phone. Even the people who mow my lawn I can see. It’s wonderful!

Love my new Ring video doorbell. The picture quality is amazing and I love the way you can talk back and forth with whomever is at the door. It also alerts you if someone just walks up to the door and doesn't even knock or ring the bell. It sure helps when a delivery driver just drops a package off without knocking or ringing. I did have to purchase a wifi extender to strengthen the signal. Overall, it is great.

This is for the version 1 Ring Doorbell. Good device for the value. Not as great as I thought it would be: *. Setup was difficult because it wouldn't accept special characters in the initial setup password. For a security company to miss this is fairly bad but an automatic update takes care of this. *. Tends not to wake up very promptly missing start of motion events, seems to lag a second or 2. *. "Processing video" message sometimes runs for a while. I don't know what its "processing" - its just video capture. *. Being in front of a busy street, I can't seem to dial it down enough. A newer version has a "Smart Alerts" only for when humans are detected, but I want to see when cars arrive also so I have not used it. Being an IT guy, the software seems not mature. Very good: *. The neighborhood events notification is great to let you know of incidents in the area. *. Video capture seems good even on this non-HD version, even in low light. Bright and good wide angle. *. The user interface is well organized & pretty straight forward. Plan on buying another for my garage/backyard area.

I purchased for my mother to provide her a bit more home security and help her monitor the front of her house. The install was easy and it was up and running in less than an hour. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel the app software could be a bit more user friendly and give the user greater controls over the monitor ranges.

Previously owned the Zmodo doorbell camera and was very unhappy. Zmodo doorbell constantly was offline and once it was online again within a few hours it was offline again. Finally decided to purchase Ring doorbell and couldn't be happier. Video is clear, no delays, even captures if a bee flies past the camera. Plus no offline issues, just amazing.

This is a simple product to install, setup and use. Does exactly what it says it does. Some notifications are glitchy at times but overall a good experience.

I've been generally pleased with my Ring doorbell. However, I live close to my street and found that I was getting notified often that someone was at the door when it was a car driving by. After turning the sensitivity down, the problem was solved. It's a solid product, but I probably should have gotten the Ring 2.

This is my second Ring doorbell. Purchased for a second home. Really easy setup. Just had to connect to WI fi and the app. took care of the rest. Great product

This does it’s job but I try to make it into zones because we are at a T section Street and every car passes by it goes off quite irritating And also you would think when you had deliveries somebody would ring the doorbell so when you’re at work you know someone was there but they don’t

I was very familiar with this doorbell system & i know the regular price of it. When it came out at 1/2 the normal cost I had to jump on it. I’m so glad I did.

The one I bought at a BB store needed to be replaced within 3 months by Ring.com due to a hardware defect. In fact, the one I received as a replacement had an extra set of connectors on the back of it and *correctly* hardwired to my house unlike the original. So, if you get one, wire it up to the doorbell wires you already have, and it doesn't show "hardwired" in the app, just call Ring.com and let them know; see if you can save yourself the hassle. Otherwise what'll happen is likely what happened to me - in 3mo or so the thing just dies. The battery will charge when you plug it in, but go from 100% -> 0% in a matter of seconds after unplugging. Once Ring.com sees this on their end, they'll issue you a replacement. The service itself is good and works as advertised. I'm still a bit unclear as to what, exactly, the cloud recording gets me. I don't know if it's a stored history of everything, or the flat out ability to *ever* see who's at my door. This isn't as clearly painted as I'd like. I ended up signing up for the service but may cancel just to see if/how it changes things and how I can use the doorbell. When wired properly, the doorbell *DOES* ring your inside doorbell, draws power from that circuit (so the battery never dies) and will also send a push notification from your phone.
