A: Nothing - if someone wants to take a pry bar to the frame they will get it - damaging both the ring and your door at the same time. There are built in theft deterrents that will make it hard to steal, but if someone REALLY wants it, they will get it. The good news is that Ring has a policy that they will replace the doorbell if it ever gets stolen so you will have that security blanket for the life that you are a customer.
A: We have our doorbell to the side of our door! Can we install the Ring doorbell?
Q: Will this show video only when they push the button or will it show video based on movement or both
A: If you leave the motion detector on. It does both I can see when people leave and come to the house. And it saves the motion so I can see what time my kids get home at night.
A: They CAN be hard-wired into any existing doorbell system or if you do not have any current door bell, you can use the units internal battery that lasts several months at a time. Its pretty flexible.
A: Yes you do if you want the doorbell at each location. You can buy just the camera if you don't need a door bell at the back door.
Q: How much is it to get recorded on to the cloud a month and what are my options
A: 3 dollars a month or 30 a year. There is no storage on your phone. If you want to keep the video it has to be done in the Cloud which is not made abundantly clear on the box!
Q: Will my current chime work with this devise?
A: No. You'll need a RING Chime.
Q: Can this work on two phone?
A: Yes. You sign up with an account and then add others.
